Mission: To create opportunities for great people to deliver best-in-class results – and build lasting careers while doing it.

    QUICK OVERVIEW – TL;DR
We are hiring a Reconstruction Project Manager to run residential and commercial reconstruction projects end-to-end. This role owns budgets, schedules, subcontractors, customer communication, and job profitability – with significant upside through commissions tied to production and performance.

    THE WHY
Reconstruction is where restoration becomes complete. Great Recon PMs combine builder discipline with strong customer management – they keep trades moving, protect margin, and close projects cleanly.

    THE WHERE
Opportunities in both New York and New Jersey (Metro NY/NJ). Field-based roles require travel across NYC and Northeast NJ as needed.

THE ROLE – WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO
    ·         Manage reconstruction projects from signed scope through completion: schedule, budget, quality, and customer experience.
    ·         Coordinate trades and subcontractors; set expectations, control timelines, and hold vendors accountable on price and performance.
    ·         Work closely with the in-house estimating team on scopes, supplements/change orders, and job budgets.
    ·         Own job profitability: manage labor/sub costs, material sourcing, and change conditions with a commercial mindset.
    ·         Communicate proactively with homeowners, property managers, and adjusters; resolve issues and drive decisions.
    ·         Maintain strong documentation and internal reporting so billing, collections, and closeout happen fast.
    ·         Participate in site walk-throughs, punch lists, and high-touch client interactions – this is a customer-facing role.

    WHO THRIVES HERE
    ·         You are a builder-operator: organized, decisive, and disciplined.
    ·         You are comfortable being 'salesy' in a professional way – you can guide customers, set expectations, and earn trust.
    ·         You protect margin without sacrificing quality.
    ·         You can manage multiple jobs at once without letting details fall through the cracks.

    REQUIRED / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
    ·         Required: Valid driver's license; strong construction project management fundamentals; comfort leading subs and managing schedules; strong customer communication.
    ·         Preferred: Reconstruction/restoration PM experience; experience with insurance-driven reconstruction; estimating familiarity (Xactimate/Symbility or similar); knowledge of NYC/Metro building environments; ability to manage higher-complexity commercial jobs.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
    ·         Competitive base salary ($65-85K) plus commissions/incentives tied to profit, production and overall performance. Total Compensation potential is $200K+.
    ·         Benefits package, including PTO, 401(k) with match, medical reimbursement, and training/development support.

    ·         Track key project milestones, assist with payment collection, and follow up on missing documents.

    WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    ·         Strong attention to detail and follow-through; you do not let things fall through the cracks.
    ·         Great communication and interpersonal skills.
    ·         Comfort with cloud tools and software platforms (Microsoft 365/Google tools, PDFs, CRM/project systems).
    ·         A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
    ·         Compensation ranges from $55-$80K (depending on experience).
    ·         Benefits package, including PTO, 401(k) with match, medical reimbursement, and training/development support.
