As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our operation teams for our water division projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams from estimating through project delivery to ensure that our control systems are efficient, reliable, and meet the highest standards of performance.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.Leverage deep understanding and knowledge of advanced control systems for a variety of applications to advance project goals.Create and maintain detailed documentation of control system architecture, design, and processes.Review system testing, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure performance and reliability.Coordinate site visits with key stakeholders (owners, owner representatives, and subcontractors).Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our control systems.Participate in project reviews and provide technical input for new proposals and designs.Requirements
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree required). Minimum of 7 years of experience in control systems design, automation, implementation, preferably in water and waste treatment plants.Demonstrate knowledge of both PLC and DCS hardware and software. Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Emerson, Schneider – Square D, Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA development.Ability to program PLCs, DCS, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other control devices.Strong understanding of industrial automation, robotics, and process control systems in water and waste treatment facilities.Experience with motion control, servo systems, and instrumentation.Experience with network infrastructure. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in commercial construction, industrial construction, or public works projects.Familiarity with cybersecurity principles as they apply to control systems.Knowledge of IoT, machine learning, or AI as applied to control systems.Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Automation Professional (CAP) certification.Benefits

Duties:
-Be responsible for planning, developing, and executing technical documentation which may include interpreting, organizing, and coordinating project team assignments
-Lead and mentor team members in the implementation and delivery of projects design
-Help assist in establishment of budget, task schedule and other components of the work plan
-Direct and coordinate production of schematic, design development and construction documents in collaboration with Project Manager and/or Senior Project Architect
-Work with engineering consultants through schematic, design development and construction document phases
-Perform construction administration duties (e.g., RFIs, RFPs, Change Orders, etc.)
-Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with responsibility for oversight
-Participate in marketing efforts and may lead presentations to prospective clients
Requirements
-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture
-7-10 years of relevant professional experience in leading teams and preparation of conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documents and materials
-Proficient in Revit & Autocad. Navisworks experience is a plus
-Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of junior staff
-Experience in all phases and aspects of a project
-Well-developed knowledge of and experience with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems
-Understanding of project management process
-Ability to develop, communicate and present design concepts to clients, multi-disciplinary teams, and management
-Effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent graphic presentation skills
-Proficiency in Revit, graphic design, and 3D modelling and visualization software
-Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to grow and advance
-Strong organizational and time management skills
-Capable of handling multiple projects at the same time
