    Life Launch Direct Support Professionals (DSP-LL) provide supports to a variety of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to facilitate a safe, independent, and enriched lifestyle in their homes, places of employment, and communities. You may assist with building someone's community connections, health & safety needs, money management, everyday life necessities (shopping, cooking, cleaning, etc), and helping someone go out and have fun! DSP-LLs are excited to go to work, reliable, patient, and a great communicator. As a DSP-LL, you will walk in partnership with the people you support toward a life of opportunity, well-being, freedom, and contribution. All DSP-LLs must be able to drive their own vehicle at work and be reimbursed for mileage.

    Wage & Benefits: $20 per hour

    We are also offering a $1,000 sign on bonus that is paid out in increments at set milestones of your employment!

    Position Type: Part Time or Full Time flexible shifts available

    Fridays and Saturdays are required, hours are generally days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
    Your supervisor will work with you to create a schedule that works for you and the people you will be supporting.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    Must be at least 18 years of age when starting employment.
    This position requires a valid driver's license and to drive your own vehicle and be reimbursed for non-commuting miles.
    Must have and show basic computer skills and can learn agency applications.
    Excellent interpersonal skills.
    Well-organized and attentive to detail.
    Cooperative and willing to learn.
    Ability to interpret various instructions.
    Enhanced math skills - must be able to accurately balance a budget and basic math transactions.
    Professional, clear, and positive oral and written communication skills both expressive and receptive.
    Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
    PCL's Team members must have dependable, reliable, and regular work attendance, and must adhere to attendance policies.

    Job Duties:

    Helping people get to the activities they want to go to, some examples are going swimming, watching movies, hiking, going to concerts, and so much more!
    Working one on one with a person providing intentional, individual supports.
    Plan and follow through with fun activities to help people achieve their goals.
    Help someone build and maintain relationships while respecting their dignity, individual choice, input, and health and safety needs.
    May involve distributing medications, cooking, house cleaning, working through challenging behaviors, and intimate care.
    May provide On the Job Attendant Care (OTJAC) supports in a person's place of employment. OTJAC supports are health related supports for people who need attendant care but not assistance with their employment services.
    Some examples of OTJAC supports are:
    Guiding individuals to stay on task with job duties.
    Offering aid during breaks and lunches.
    Providing physical assistance in the restroom.

    Physical Requirements:

    Must be able to lift and transfer 25 pounds minimum; some positions may require more.
    Appropriately and efficiently responding to emergencies and/or crises (including but not limited to the use of physical intervention).

    Certifications and Training:

    Must pass required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations.
    Must be able to pass a drug screening for illegal substances in the state of Oregon.
    Complete and maintain all certifications as required by the position, PCL, and other governing agencies.
    Must be able to obtain and maintain certification to a satisfactory level in Oregon Intervention System (training provided if hired).
    Must be able to obtain and maintain certification in CPR (training provided if hired).
    Complete all duties related to being a Mandatory Abuse Reporter.
    New hire orientation and on-site training must be completed within 60 days of hire.

    A Red Carpet DSP Mentor will create a "Red Carpet" welcome by providing mentoring in addition to providing direct support, answering questions, and ensuring team members see the real-life application of lessons learned through formal training. They will set a standard of person-centered practices. Their role is flexible and transitional creating stability for those new to our services. This will include providing supports to both adults and children.

    You will be providing supports in both Jackson & Josephine Counties. The working location of your schedule varies day to day and some travel time may be compensated.

    This position requires that you be able to work a variety of shifts, including, but not limited to, day shift, swing shift, awake overnights, and live-in positions. While you will receive your schedule at least two weeks in advance, you may be covering an Awake Overnight Shift one day, and then a swing shift the next; this is uncommon but can happen. The Red Carpet DSP Mentor Position is required to work weekends and to pick preferred days off during the week.

    Job Duties:

    The Red Carpet DSP Mentor is part of a Development Team that receives specialized training to stabilize teams and welcome people to their new homes and PCL supports.
    This team of DSPs will be deployed to ensure a new person has stable, skilled, and mission-focused team members to provide their support.
    Red Carpet DSP Mentors will then work alongside newly hired DSPs to create a work environment where new team members are welcomed and trained by mission-focused peers.
    Be knowledgeable of and implement each person's support needs, preferences, interests, and choices as outlined in support documents and other documents.
    Occasional compensated travel to our Northern Oregon Region. (3-6 Times Per Year)
    Participate in an on-call rotation for their assigned area. On a regular rotation, this position is on-call for their assigned area for 7 consecutive days in each rotation.
    Various positions may involve distributing medications, cooking, house cleaning, yard maintenance, handling challenging behaviors, and intimate care.
    Promote and implement PCL's mission in the lives of those we support.
    Provide a stable living environment by respecting dignity, individual choice, input, and health and safety needs.
