    We are seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer (SDET) with a strong development background to build scalable, high quality test solutions and ensure end-to-end product quality.  This role blends software engineering and quality engineering, requiring hands on coding, automation framework development, and deep involvement in the software development lifecycle.  You will work within an Agile team, collaborating with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to design robust test strategies, implement automation, and drive quality engineering practices across the organization.  This position is 100% Onsite in Charlotte, NC.

    Senior Full Stack Project Lead Responsibilities:

     

    - Lead the full-lifecycle rebuilding of global logistics eCommerce and custom ERP platform, migrating from a legacy PHP monolith to a modular Java 24/Spring Boot 3 system using containerized microservices architecture for scalability, resilience, and carrier-level performance across international markets.

    - Architect and deliver a Platform as a Service (PaaS) carrier integration platform exposing standardized REST APIs for rating, shipping, tracking, and label generation, enabling hundreds of global carriers to integrate seamlessly; built a pluggable Java/Spring Boot integration framework using the adapter pattern to translate heterogeneous carrier protocols into unified REST endpoints, secured via OAuth 2.0 and JWT, and documented with OpenAPI specifications for self-service partner onboarding.

    - Collaborate with Technology leadership (e.g., Head of Product, Lead Architect), Commercial and Operations leadership to ensure considerations are incorporated into deliverables.

    - Lead, grow, and inspire a multinational engineering team of 30+ front-end, back-end, quality, and DevOps engineers and managers across multiple time zones, building a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.  Tech leadership will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah, with developer resources being distributed between Europe and India.

    - Champion AI-augmented engineering throughout the software development lifecycle.  Embedding tools like Claude into requirements gathering, code generation, code review, testing, documentation, and deployment workflows.

    Qualifications

    - Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in an engineering leadership role.

    - 7+ years of hands-on Java 17+ experience building high-throughput, enterprise-scale Java systems; fluent in JVM performance, design patterns, and modern Java ecosystems.

    The Director of Technology is responsible for the entire technology platform, overseeing both customer-facing systems and internal infrastructure to ensure 24x7 availability, security, and scalability across Azure Cloud and on-premises environments.  This hands-on leadership role balances technical execution and strategic management, including building a high-performing team, driving operational excellence, implementing security controls, and supporting the company’s rapid growth.  This position is 100% Onsite in Charlotte, NC.

     

    Director of Technology Responsibilities:

     

    Leadership & Strategy:

    - Build, mentor, and retain a team of 8 engineers across Infrastructure/Network, DevOps/SRE, and Desktop/End-User Support, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance management.

    - Own platform strategy, roadmap, and execution to meet business goals and customer SLAs.

    - Define and track operational KPIs (availability, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), change success rate, incident volume, cloud cost efficiency) and present regular updates to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and executive team.

    - Take full ownership of platform strategy, roadmap, and execution aligned with business objectives, product needs, and customer Service Level Agreements (SLA)s.

    - Establish operational cadence: incident reviews, change advisory board, service desk metrics, team retrospectives, and continuous improvement of culture.

     

    Platform Operations & Architecture:

    - Own the design, implementation, and 24x7 operation of the company’s hybrid infrastructure (Azure and on-premises) supporting both production and internal corporate systems.

    - Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency across all environments.

    - Hands-on architecture and implementation of cloud infrastructure, networking, identity management (Azure AD/Entra, RBAC), storage, backup, monitoring, and observability.

    - Drive cloud optimization initiatives:  rightsizing, reserved capacity, architectural improvements, and cost governance across Azure workloads.

    - Define and enforce platform standards for networking, security, identity, logging, alerting, and operational discipline.

     

    DevOps & Site Reliability Engineering:

    - Lead DevOps and SRE transformation: implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), containerization (Kubernetes), and modern deployment practices.

    - Hands-on implementation of Kubernetes clusters, container orchestration, service mesh, and cloud-native architecture patterns.

    - Establish Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles:  error budgets, SLOs/SLIs, blameless postmortems, observability (metrics/logs/traces), and reliability engineering culture.

    - Build and optimize CI/CD tooling and workflows to improve release velocity, reduce deployment risk, and increase developer productivity.

    - Implement robust change management processes (risk assessment, testing, communication, rollback procedures) that balance speed, safety, and audit readiness.

     

    Information Security & Compliance:

    - Implement security and compliance controls, including access management, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and audit evidence collection.

    - Establish security best practices across infrastructure: network segmentation, firewall rules, encryption (data at rest/in transit), secrets management, privileged access management.

    - Lead incident response for infrastructure and platform issues, including root cause analysis, remediation, and process improvements.

    - Own Disaster Recovery strategy and execution: define RPO/RTO targets, architect multi-region and hybrid DR solutions, develop runbooks, and conduct regular DR testing.

    - Ensure backup and restore capabilities across all critical systems with documented procedures and validated recovery processes.

     

    Desktop & End-User Support:

    - Oversee desktop, endpoint, and telecom services (laptops, mobile devices, productivity tools, collaboration platforms, voice/conferencing) to deliver reliable, secure employee experiences.

    - Implement IT service management practices (incident, request, problem, asset management) with clear SLAs and user satisfaction metrics.

    - Manage vendor relationships across infrastructure, telecom, SaaS, and managed services—evaluate contracts, optimize licensing, and ensure service quality.

    Qualifications

    Director of Technology Qualifications:

     

    - 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and operations, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role managing teams delivering hybrid cloud environments.

    - Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure including computing (VMs, App Services, Functions), Networking (VNets, NSGs, load balancers), identity (Azure AD/Entra, RBAC), security, monitoring, and cost management.

    - Proven track record architecting and operating highly available, mission-critical systems supporting 24x7 customer-facing platforms at enterprise scale.

    - Strong background in security and compliance, with experience implementing controls.

    - Demonstrated leadership of DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams with hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), and operating observability platforms.

    We are seeking a hands-on IT Lead/Manager to support and enhance the technology environment at a growing law firm with 80+ employees.  This role is ideal for someone who understands that in a legal setting, technology is mission-critical downtime impacts client service, deadlines, and case outcomes.  You will serve as a trusted partner to attorneys, paralegals, and operations leadership, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for legal workflows.  You will balance day-to-day IT execution with continuous improvement, helping the firm operate efficiently while maintaining strict confidentiality and security standards.  This is a Hybrid position in Chicago, IL with some onsite required.

     

    IT Lead/Manager Responsibilities:

     

    - Ensure uptime and reliability of core systems supporting legal operations (network, file access, VPN, printing, devices).

    - Provide responsive, white-glove IT support to attorneys and staff in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

    - Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly , minimizing disruption to billable work and court deadlines.

    - Liaise relationships with external IT and security vendors , ensuring service quality and accountability.

    - Support and improve document management, file access, and collaboration workflows critical to legal teams.

    - Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.

    - Experience supporting IT in a professional services or legal environment (law firm experience strongly preferred).

    - Strong understanding of networking and secure remote access (VPN, MFA, file sharing).

    - Ability to operate in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment where responsiveness matters.

    - Proven ability to communicate clearly with non-technical professionals , including attorneys.

    - Experience managing vendors and third-party IT providers.

    - Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Mac, and common office platforms.

    - High level of professionalism, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.

    - A proactive mindset—anticipating issues before they impact legal work.
