Paragon is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will review and respond to client Requests for Quote (RFQs), develop accurate and timely proposals, and ensure alignment with all technical and quality requirements. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams, as well as clients and vendors, to ensure each proposal is tailored, compliant, and competitive.
This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse, highly regulated scopes within the nuclear industry, requiring strong technical judgment, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Analyze client RFQs to determine technical, quality, and commercial requirements.Research product data, past performance, and other inputs to develop effective solutions that meet client needs.Work with vendors to obtain pricing and lead time information for materials and services, ensuring all applicable requirements are flowed down.Coordinate with internal departments to validate feasibility, scope, and execution strategy.Develop budgets and schedules for proposed scopes of work.Prepare and submit high-quality proposals in accordance with internal processes and client deadlines.Maintain organized records of quote data and communications.Review all quote documentation for clarity and accuracy prior to submittal.Communicate directly with clients to clarify scope, align on expectations, and provide timely updates.Support Outside Sales in proposal strategy and client interface.Develop pricing for scope changes that arise during project execution.Support internal teams in optimizing the customer experience.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.3–5 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or other engineering roles.Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clean, professional, and technically sound proposal documentation.Ability to interpret and respond to technical specifications, flow down those requirements to vendors, and track responses effectively.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.Professional demeanor with a collaborative mindset.Additional Qualifications (a plus, but not required):
