Papa Murphy's Pizza Shift Supervisor Summary Description Responsible for all facets of the operation for the assigned shift of a Papa Murphy's store by performing the following: Duties and Responsibilities * Be in the proper uniform and ready to take responsibility of shift at the assigned time. * Proficient at the Counter, Prep and Cashier positions. * Insures all team members are in uniform, clocked in and at assigned positions at assigned time. * Responsible to perform a walk-through of the store to insure that the store is ready: clean, stocked etc. for business using the pre-rush checklist. * Supervises and works with the assigned staff to assure that the proper guest service and product quality are given as prescribed in the "Operations Manual." * Accountable that all cash is handled properly and funds are properly secured. * Insures that the unit is operated according to the proper food handling, sanitation, safety and security guidelines as outlined in the "Operations Manual." * Insures proper labor guidelines and labor laws are adhered to including schedules and breaks. * Responsible that all opening, closing, change of shift and early out assigned duties are completed using appropriate checklists. * Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of shift and daily paperwork using the POS system. * Insures that an adequate supply of fully proofed crusts is always available. * Supervises the sale of pre-made pizzas to insure they are proofed a minimum of one hour and sold within the next hour. (Two hours total at room temperature) * Maintains adequate prepped product for the shift business and if product is not available, makes sure product is available. * Communicates shift problems to immediate supervisor and resolve if possible, scheduling problems for next day, product shortage etc. * Responsible to handle emergencies, guest complaints, equipment problems or team member problems as per the "What to do If" procedures. * Responsible to train and develop team members on assigned shift as directed by immediate supervisor. * Responsible for any other job related duties as directed by immediate supervisor. Additional Info: Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Experience: At least six months experience in QSR environment.     Store Crew You'll work in a fast-paced and energetic environment, learning how to operate cash registers, receive orders over the phone, and construct pizzas or various items with a sense of urgency and attention to detail. Duties during the down-time may include cleaning equipment and areas, stocking products in aesthetically pleasing manner, and washing the occasional dish. You may also learn prep work, in which you'll be taught how to make the pizza dough, prepare the vegetables, and craft the side items. During prep, you will be accompanied by a small crew of usually two other people, and will be expected to stay on task and keep excellent pace especially when nobody is looking. This is an entry level position where most hours can range from primarily mornings (if hiring for prep) starting around 9am to the late afternoon and evenings. We seek out employees who are able to work hard and work fast for bursts of time while always looking for the next task to accomplish. Eligible employees will also be able to stand on their feet for hours at a time, work extensively with their hands, and frequently lift over 30 pounds by themselves. Position Overview: In this lively leadership role, the Shift Supervisor champions Papa Murphy's commitment to quality, service, integrity, and teamwork by: * Conquer all aspects of the Crew Member position. * Oversee and encourage all team members to be their best on shift. * Accomplish or assist with all necessary tasks to ensure all aspects of the store are prepared for the projected business needs. * Energize team members so the store operates to or above the standard guest service, product quality, food handling, sanitation, safety, and security guidelines. * Hold yourself and other team members accountable for all cash handling, schedules, breaks, opening and or closing duties, and accurate shift paperwork using the POS. * Address emergencies, guest complaints, equipment problems, product shortage, and team member problems, in a calm and friendly manner. * Train and develop team members for successful growth and development. * Operate the store independently if needed, in the absence of the manager.
