    Position Summary

    The X-Ray Technician functions as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BXMO) with responsibility for operating X-Ray equipment for the purpose of diagnosing and treating patient disease/injury by the primary care provider. The BXMO will practice under the direct supervision and control of a licensed practitioner, only in that practitioner’s office. This position is dual role, clinical as a CNA, CMA, LPN or RN under the Clinical Care Coordinator and working under the practitioner for X-rays.


    Description of Primary Responsibilities


    1) Responsible for patient care

    a) Provide necessary medical services to patients of Palms Medical Group (PMG) within his/her scope of practice in accordance with stated policies, procedures and protocols of PMG and Florida State Statute 468.302.

    b) Maintain the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with up-to-date documentation of services provided.

    c) Exhibit professionalism when greeting and escorting patients to X-Ray suite.

    d) Perform basic radiology procedures.

    e) Provide patients with digital X-Ray discs if indicated.

    2) Responsible for inventory management

    a) Maintain knowledge of inventory procedures and submit any order requests to the VP of Business Continuity & Client Relations and designated Clinical Care Coordinator.

    b) Maintain X-Ray suite, and order and restock radiological supplies.

    c) Maintain responsibility for the overall operation of the X-Ray suite.

    d) Maintain orderly and professional work areas.

    3) Responsible for administrative duties

    a) Maintain X-Ray tracking logs.

    b) Observe and follow OSHA standards and PMG Infection Control/Safety protocol.

    c) Promptly fax orders to Doctor’s Imaging Group along with patient encounter form before releasing the patient from the clinic.

    d) Assist the Clinical Care Coordinator, VP of Practice Management with data collection as necessary.

    e) Assist with audits, administer and collect surveys, and follow up with red charts as directed by the Clinical Care Coordinator.

    f) Perform any other duty assigned by the Clinical Care Coordinator, VP of Practice Management or CEO to improve the efficiency of PMG.

    4) Read and adhere to the Clinical Policy Manual.

    Position Summary

    The Dental Patient Advocate is responsible providing exceptional front desk and clerical support within the dental office. This includes greeting patients, managing phone communications, scheduling appointments, processing referrals and authorizations, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient dental records in the EDR. The advocate plays a key role in ensuring positive patient experience and supporting the operational efficiency of Palms Medical Group.



    Description of Primary Responsibilities


    1) Customer Service

    a) Greet and assist patients warmly upon arrival to the office

    b) Answer, screen and route telephone professionally and efficiently.

    c) Resolve patient inquiries and concerns, using sound judgement to determine appropriate solutions.

    d) Foster positive relationships with patients to promote satisfaction and loyalty


    2) Patient Check-In

    a) Accurately collect and enter patient demographic, insurance, consent and medical/dental history information

    b) Maintain knowledge of accepted insurances including deductibles, premiums, frequency limitations and provider charges.

    c) Assist patients with enrollment in the sliding fee scale program.

    d) Enter data accurately into NextGen and Luma systems

    e) Maintain efficient patient flow and ensure a clean, organized front desk and patient waiting area

    f) Schedule and pre-schedule appointments as needed.

    g) Direct patients, visitors and vendors to the appropriate departments.


    3) Patient Check Out

    a) Verify patient encounters and procedure and diagnosis codes.

    b) Collect payments for services rendered and outstanding balances (medical and dental)

    c) Perform end-of-day reconciliation, including balancing the cash drawer, submitting deposits and reports to the Finance Department, and maintaining accurate logs.


    4) Referrals

    a) Coordinate referrals to specialists or external providers for additional dental care.

    b) Explain the referral process to patients, including provider information and directions.

    c) Accurately enter and submit referral information through insurance portals.


    5) Insurance Authorizations

    a) Understand which insurance plans require prior authorizations and how to document them.

    b) Navigate insurance web sites to obtain authorizations

    c) Gather and submit required information (e.g.: diagnosis codes, insurance details and patient ID)


    6) Administrative Duties

    a) Adhere to the Front Desk Policy Manual, Dental Policy Manual and HIPAA Policy Manual

    b) Check and respond to emails at least twice daily.

    c) Assist the Executive VP of Patient Services with data collection for UDS and grant applications.

    d) Support audits and surveys and other administrative tasks as assigned

    e) Perform additional duties to support the efficiency and effectiveness of PMG operations.

    Position Summary

    The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)/Physician Assistant (PA-C) works independently or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver services specified by their specialty.     Position Summary

    Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, are responsible for assisting pharmacist in filling prescriptions, billing of prescriptions to third parties, collection of payments from patients, and maintaining drug inventory.

    This position is a float position for the area. You will be traveling and covering multiple locations.


    Description of Primary Responsibilities

    1) Responsible for patient care

    a) Provide necessary pharmaceutical services to patients and customers of Palms Medical Group (PMG), under supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and within his/her scope of practice in accordance with stated policies, procedures and protocols of PMG and Florida State Statute 465.014.

    b) Exhibit professionalism when greeting and serving patients and customers in the pharmacy.

    c) Enter necessary patient information, including insurance coverage, and prescriptions into the pharmacy software.

    d) Accurately bill and collect payment for prescriptions from customers and third-party agencies.

    e) Mix pharmaceutical preparations, perform medication counts, fill bottles with prescribed tables/capsules and type labels for bottles.

    f) Assist the pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications as above, and:

    Ensure all controlled substances are double-counted and marked accordingly with a ‘DC’.Will double check amount dispensed by circling the quantity on the pharmacy receipt label for quantities that are not #30.

    2) Responsible for inventory management

    a) Assist in maintaining sufficient inventory and supplies for the pharmacy operations.

    b) Receive and store incoming supplies.

    c) Count stock and enter data into computer for inventory maintenance.

    d) Clean, organize and maintain professional work areas

    3) Responsible for administrative duties

    a) Read and adhere to the Pharmacy Policy Manual and the Pharmacy Technician Manual.

    b) Operate a cash register and be able to accurately handle money exchanges.

    c) File invoices and copy prescriptions.

    a) Provide necessary medical services to patients of PMG within his/her field of training in accordance with stated policies, procedures and protocols of PMG.

    b) Identify him/herself as an APRN and wear identification badge at all times.

    c) Exhibit professionalism when greeting and treating patients in the clinic.

    d) Educate, counsel and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits.

    e) Prescribe medication as defined by State and Federal laws within their scope of practice.

    f) Develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases.

    g) Preform diagnostic tests, screening evaluations and conduct patient exams.

    h) Provide other services as granted by delineation of privileges.

    2) Responsible for coverage

    a) Be available for contact after hours to treat or triage medical conditions.

    b) Share in providing coverage for extended office hours of PMG as approved by the Board of Directors.

    3) Responsible for administrative duties

    a) Read and adhere to the Provider Policy Manual

    b) Assist in medical data collection for UDS and grant applications.

    c) Participate in QA/QI activities as directed by the CMO.

    d) Agree to carry out all required responsibilities of the corporation relative to patient charges, third party reimbursement, etc.

    e) Maintain the electronic health record (EHR) as per current PMG policies and procedures.

    f) Advise the appropriate member of management as defined by the institution’s organizational chart, of any problems you perceive with PMG operations.

    g) Participate in community service and health promotion programs.

    h) Participate in the review of all medical policies, procedures and protocols.

    i) Perform any other duty assigned by CMO or CEO to improve the efficiency of PMG.

    4) Current and Valid Physician Assistant license in the State of Florida

    5) Prefer all Physician Assistant’s to have PA-C status

    6) Current BLS (basic life support) Certification
