    The Fabricating Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of machines and personnel associated with finishing activities including folding, gluing, waxing, stripping, and bundling. The Fabricating Supervisor is responsible for managing activities on the assigned shift in an efficient and safe manner.

    PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Coordinate activity with the Production Manager and Shift Supervisor to plan and manage shift work orders, ensure quality requirements, and assure an even flow of work through the fabrication department to increase up-time and minimize unscheduled downtime.

    Schedule work, coordinate production activities, provide direct oversight of employees, approve time records, communicate and implement company policy. Engage in employee development activities, make recommendations on employee hire, promotion, and disciplinary action.

    Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free work environment by ensuring health and safety procedures are understood and executed by all employees.

    Conduct employee training on all equipment, protocols, production standards, safety regulations and waste control on an ongoing basis.

    Ensure completion of departmental operations within guidelines of continuous improvement policies.

    Supervise efficient operation of equipment including the inspection of materials, products and equipment to detect and/or prevent malfunctions.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Some college or manufacturing training.

  • ENGINEER-PROCESS-Mechanical

  • Staff Engineer - Mechanical  

    - Lake Forest

    The Staff Engineer will travel to various PCA locations to support projects across the organization in both plants and papermills. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of industrial experience, preferably in the paper/corrugated industry. This is a hands-on position, working side-by-side with the leaders, contractors, and personnel to drive projects to completion. It's an exciting opportunity for anyone that wants to make an impact on the organization, while working with the best team in the industry!

    Relocation is NOT required but, ideal candidates must have reasonable access to reliable air transportation.

    The primary responsibilities include alignment support for a range of projects, including new machine installation, machine survey work, troubleshooting and maintenance. This includes diligently recording all findings for reporting purposes, as well as reviewing historical documentation, and providing succinct and comprehensive reports for other members of the team. The Staff Engineer will use engineering acumen and best judgement when making decisions regarding alignment of machine components.

    Responsibilities: Provide technical support to the business and manufacturing operations. Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. Provide project management support across the business when and where needed as projects arise. Involved in developing business and/or plant capital plans. Make actionable recommendations based on sound engineering judgment. Manage multiple capital and maintenance projects, including initial planning, design, documenting, budgeting, implementation, and troubleshooting. Must be able to generate drawings, specifications, and instructions necessary to convey project requirements to others. Dedication to ensuring a safe work environment. Ensure that safety/environmental requirements are adhered to on all project designs and that all projects receive adequate hazard reviews prior to installation. Responsible for managing safety during installation/implementation. Coordinates and supervises work scope with outside contractors and engineering groups on various sized projects. Maintain projects on budget and on schedule. Write reports and give presentations based on analysis of information and written materials.     The Maintenance Supervisor plans, estimates and schedules preventative and corrective maintenance of plant equipment, machinery, and service systems to increase uptime and minimize unscheduled downtime. This position supervises maintenance, mechanical, and electrical staff and includes planning and scheduling maintenance work responsibilities.

    Process Engineer Duties:

    Responsible for providing process optimization and engineering support for the mill which will include but not limited to, compliance process coordination, lean projects, quality and product safety, and analytical and systems support.

    Develops and maintains methods for tracking and reducing operational costs.

    The Tomahawk Mill is seeking a Mechanical Engineer.

    The Mechanical Engineer will be part of the reliability department and is responsible for coordinating the planning, organizing, and completion of mill reliability programs within the area of assigned responsibility. The engineer will help to define and participate in the development of reliability programs to improve maintain and improve reliability of machinery in the mill. This includes providing technical direction, assistance, and solutions to maintenance and operating personnel.

Lead electrical maintenance resources, initiatives, and strategic plans and be accountable for performance of electrical systems and assets. Perform research, design and development of electrical maintenance processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment. Support bottom line profit and loss improvement in all areas by analyzing electrical maintenance processes for cost reduction, quality, and efficiency improvement Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products and processes, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results. Monitor sites and procedures to confirm that all operations are in compliance with corporate regulations. Plan, develop, coordinate and direct assigned engineering projects to a successful completion Conduct assessment of or respond to electrical process improvement requests. Collect data resulting from investigations and perform / obtain analyses up-date. Provide report with recommendations and conclusions. Ensure production crew and management has adequate training in regards to assigned projected and equipment knows and follows policies and procedures of the company shares information that would benefit of the members of the team and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers. Basic qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment
