Reporting & Coordination

Communicate daily production status, site conditions, and issues to the Operations Manager
•
Coordinate with maintenance teams regarding equipment performance and repair needs
•
Maintain basic operational logs and documentation
Qualifications
Required
•
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in quarry, mining, or heavy equipment operations
•
Strong understanding of quarry workflows, equipment usage, and safety requirements
Preferred
•
Prior experience managing union or non-union field crews
•
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to quarry operations
Work Environment & Expectations
•
On-site, outdoor quarry environment
•
Regular exposure to heavy equipment, noise, dust, and weather conditions
•
Adherence to safety protocols and PPE is mandatory
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Position Overview
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery in support of quarry production activities. This role is critical to maintaining productivity, ensuring safe material handling, and supporting daily operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
•
Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, haul trucks, and related machinery
•
Perform assigned tasks in accordance with production plans and safety procedures
Safety & Equipment Care
•
Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of assigned equipment
•
Identify and report mechanical issues, safety concerns, or equipment deficiencies
•
Maintain equipment cleanliness and proper operating condition
Operational Support
•
Follow supervisor instructions and daily work assignments
•
Work collaboratively with site personnel to support efficient operations
