Summary/Objective
The Truck Driver will safely and efficiently deliver finished goods, products, equipment, and materials to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Essential Functions

Operates a variety of trucks according to applicable local and federal transportation laws, including but not limited to semi-trucks, tractor trailers, and dump trucks.Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas; follows landing crew signals. Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods, equipment and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids and returns all equipment to designated area. Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to trucking office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete. Facilitates daily routine inspections and service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; reports maintenance and repair needs to the Shop Supervisor.Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.Perform other reasonably related duties as may be assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of trucks.Thorough understanding of maintenance and basic repairs associated with trucks. Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery. Superior skill operating assigned trucks safely and efficiently. Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one to three years of experience operating trucks OR any equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid and clean Guam commercial driver’s license appropriate for the weight of the vehicle to be operated. Must be able to obtain or possess a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) card.Must be able to obtain and pass military base access security protocols. This job operates in a Shop and Field environment. This role routinely is exposed to heat, humidity, and light to moderate rain and wind. The position requires the knowledge in the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
