The Tank Tech will be tasked with completing projects such as UST and AST installs/removals/upgrades (from entire fueling facility to spill bucket replacements), soil remediation, confined space tank cleaning, piping install, etc. In short… services surrounding above ground and underground petroleum tank systems.     Apprentice Fuel Technician

    Job Summary

    The Apprentice Fuel Technician is responsible for testing, inspecting, and supporting fuel system compliance at retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities. This role performs fuel system integrity testing, documents results accurately, and communicates findings and corrective actions clearly to internal teams and customers. This position is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work and regular travel.

    Key Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to precision underground tank and line tightness testing, leak detector testing, ATG certification, stage I II vapor recovery testing, cathodic protection testing, secondary containment testing, and 3rd party facility operations inspections for gas stations. Technicians also perform containment sump repair services, gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning, and minor maintenance on these systems.     The Role

    Performs several duties pertaining to fuel systems integrity testing. Primarily completes petroleum support work orders and jobs at retail, commercial and private fueling facilities. Shares results of testing and correction procedures with company partners and customers with speed and accuracy.

    Responsibilities

    Performs a variety of fuel containment tests, equipment integrity tests, and leak-detection tests to detect leaks or to prevent future leaks due to non-compliance or equipment failure.

    Travel is expected in this role. Compliance Technicians are expected to travel 2 weeks per month, home on the weekends. (Hotels and a generous per diem is provided).

    Hourly rate is $18.00, with an average of 12-15 hours of overtime per week paid at time and a half.

    Per Diem: $50.00 per day and it goes directly into weekly paycheck, not taxed.

    Qualifications
