    Otterbein has an opening for a Maintenance/Grounds Assistant. The primary responsibility is to support all phases of maintenance and grounds keeping tasks throughout the Otterbein Community. This includes completing assigned jobs related to painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, moving furniture, mechanical and other general repairs. This is a part-time position, primarily Monday-Friday.
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Maintains a comfortable, safe and secure environment for the residents, their families, visitors and partners.
    Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including general repairs, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
    Assists with moving of residents' furnishings as needed.
    Paints residents' living quarters as needed.
    Assists with the on-going preventative maintenance program of cleaning, repairing and operating equipment, which minimizes abnormal equipment failure.
    Assists with grounds keeping, weeding, mulching, and snow-removal.
    Assists with maintaining documentation of fire safety evacuation plan, fire drills, disaster plan, smoking policy, fire alarm testing, fire extinguisher maintenance and testing reports, generator testing logs, water temperatures, flame spread ratings of interior finishes, and other maintenance records.
    Operates company equipment and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
    Other duties as assigned.

    Education : High School Diploma or equivalent is required
    Licensure/Certification : Holds a valid Ohio driver's license
    Experience: General Maintenance - Electrical, Plumbing and Carpentry Experience, Mechanical Experience on H.V.A.C., Mowers and Vehicles.

Depending on the community's needs, this role may also support Assisted Living census development. This position operates with a dual focus, onsite and outbound-executing a strategic, multifaceted outreach and relationship-building approach designed to strengthen referral pipelines and cultivate prospective resident relationships that lead to qualified admissions. In their strategic market area, the Healthcare Admissions Counselor/Navigator actively develops and maintains partnerships with key referral sources, including healthcare systems, physician practices, Chambers of Commerce, stand-alone Independent and Assisted Living communities, social and business organizations, senior centers, and local churches. Internally, this role serves as the in-house Admissions Counselor, acting as a trusted guide for prospective residents and their families. They provide education on care options, remove barriers, and ensure a seamless and supportive admissions experience from initial inquiry through move-in. This position also collaborates closely with the Marketing Director, supporting tactical initiatives that drive occupancy and align with broader census growth strategies. Through intentional relationship development, consistent follow-through, and a commitment to education and service, the Healthcare Admissions Counselor/Navigator plays a critical role in advancing census growth across assigned service lines and delivering on Otterbein SeniorLife's mission of exceptional experiences.
    Primary Duties and Responsibilities
    Provide exceptional customer service to prospective residents, families, referral partners and other customers throughout the life journey.
    Serve as key champion for Otterbein Exceptional Experience Programs.
    Establish relationships with hospital key accounts (administrators, doctors, social workers, and discharge nurses) to drive referrals for patients needing long-term nursing and/or post-acute (rehabilitative) care.
    Maintain & develop referral relationships that yield an increased share of patient referrals from the targeted hospitals.
    Monitor and maintain targeted payer mix to meet financial goals.
    Develop and execute quarterly marketing plans for the market area.
    Develop and execute weekly reports when census is below target goal
    Assess potential referrals or potential admissions to further advance the bedside sale.
    Distribute brochures, flyers and other promotional items to referral sources in the targeted accounts.
    Work closely and collaboratively with the Marketing Director to ensure completion of tactical efforts to reach Occupancy Goals.
    Coordinate all marketing efforts to meet census goals.
    If Central Intake is engaged with your location, ensure smooth communication collaboratively between the community & Central Intake. Complete all duties/tasks related to Central Intake during the admissions process.
    Identify opportunities and execute those selected opportunities to make working with Otterbein easier and more efficient for acute care and doctoral practice personnel.
    Responsible for creation of digital marketing, as assigned.
    Ability to create and execute creative approaches to marketing.
    Independently manage the Sales Territory with a self-starter approach.

    Assist Marketing Director in coordination of Marketing/Admission events and encourage participation of current & active prospective residents.

    Additional Responsibilities

    Experience & Qualifications
    5+ years of experience in Senior Living IL/AL Sales preferred

Shift: Full-Time 1st shift (Monday - Friday 8a - 5pm) with on call responsibility Responsibilities Completes an initial assessment of patient and family to determine home care needs; Provides a complete physical assessment and history Initiates the plan of care and makes necessary revisions as patient status and needs change Uses health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis Establishes goals based on nursing diagnosis and incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions; Includes the patient and the family in the planning process Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician Counsels the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs Provides health care instructions to the patient as appropriate per assessment and plan of care Identifies discharge planning needs as part of the care plan development and implements prior to discharge of the patient Prepares clinical notes and updates the primary physician when necessary and at least every sixty days Communicates with the physician regarding the patients needs and reports any changes in the patients condition; obtains/receives physicians orders as required Communicates with community health related persons to coordinate the care plan Participates in on-call duties as defined by the on-call policy Ensures that arrangements for equipment and other necessary items and services are available Instructs, supervises and evaluates home health aide care provided Review LPN visit records and physician orders and co-sign Qualifications Education : Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
