    Maintenance Supervisor Facilities & Light Rail Infrastructure

    Location: Baltimore City, MD (Maryland Transit Administration Light Rail Facilities)

    Position Summary

    OTAS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team responsible for maintaining Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) light rail facilities, stations, maintenance shops, and support buildings. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience supervising commercial maintenance personnel in a fast-paced environment.

    The successful candidate will coordinate daily work assignments, ensure quality workmanship, maintain a safe work environment, and serve as the primary point of contact between field personnel and project management.

    Primary Responsibilities

    Team Leadership

    Supervise daily activities of maintenance technicians.Assign and prioritize work orders.Monitor employee attendance and productivity.Train and mentor maintenance personnel.Ensure compliance with company and MTA policies.Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation.

    Building Maintenance

    Supervise and perform maintenance and repairs involving:

    Carpentry

    DoorsWindowsCabinetsTrimCeilingsWallsBaseboardsRoofingGuttersStairsSignage

    Masonry & Concrete

    Sidewalk repairsConcrete patchingPaversBlock repairsGeneral masonry work

    Flooring

    Coordinate and perform:

    Station & Facility Maintenance

    Maintain MTA facilities including:

    Passenger stationsMaintenance shopsStorage buildingsAdministrative officesRestrooms

    Repair and maintain:

    BenchesTrash receptaclesSheltersRailingsGlass panelsHigh-block platformsParking areasDoorsWindowsLighting

    Preventive Maintenance

    Coordinate and complete scheduled inspections including:

    OSHA safety inspectionsEye wash stationsLighting inspectionsEnvironmental inspectionsHousekeeping inspectionsOil and grease tank inspectionsGeneral station inspections

    Correct deficiencies identified during inspections.

    Administrative Responsibilities

    Complete daily reportsDocument completed workTrack labor hoursCoordinate material requestsSchedule equipmentMaintain inventoryCommunicate project status to management and MTA representatives

    Qualifications

    Preferred qualifications include:

    5+ years of commercial building maintenance experience2+ years supervising maintenance personnelExperience in carpentry, painting, and general building maintenanceAbility to read work orders and construction drawingsStrong organizational and communication skillsValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass required background screening

    Physical Requirements

    Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.Lift up to 50 pounds.Climb ladders and stairs.Walk extended distances along rail facilities.Use hand and power tools safely.Work occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency call-outs as needed.

    This position is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and includes participation in an on-call rotation with frequent overtime opportunities to support critical transit infrastructure, emergency repairs, and facility maintenance needs.

    Key Responsibilities
