    OrthoIndy Hospital Northwest, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, provides outpatient care and inpatient care, with 10 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms and a 42-bed inpatient unit for patients undergoing more invasive procedures, such as disc replacement, spinal fusion or total hip and knee joint replacement. Other services include an urgent care, clinics, pre-op clinic, imaging and physical therapy.

    General Statement of Duties:

    The Registered Nurse Inpatient is accountable for patient care consistent with established nursing practices and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse Inpatient assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of nursing care for patients commensurate with training and licensure. The Registered Nurse Inpatient collaborates with other members of the healthcare team, receives direction from physicians and other professional personnel, and supervises and delegates to non-licensed staff.

    Essential Duties:
    Performs patient assessment and communicates pertinent patient information/data to appropriate care providers in a timely manner. Requires constant mental alertness to observe signs and symptoms of patient conditions and side effects of medications or technical procedures and responds appropriately to ensure optimal patient care.Delivers direct patient care. Completes treatments and procedures as ordered and/or indicated. Provides care related to personal hygiene, activities of daily living, and comfort measures as indicated. Prepares and administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians.Documents all patient care activities in accordance with the standard of care as well as changes in the patient's condition.Supports patient education and discharge planning. Distributes educational material as appropriate. Completes assigned tasks that facilitate discharge planning.Participates in annual and ongoing training, education and development activities to improve knowledge and skills. Requires knowledge of equipment and supplies.

    General Statement of Duties:

    The Registered Nurse PPOP PACU provides nursing care and service during the preoperative and postoperative periods, integrating and making nursing judgments pertaining to the patient's condition on a routine and emergency basis. The position oversees the supervision of all non-licensed personnel, while also receiving direction from Physicians.

    Essential Duties:
    Monitors and assesses patient condition and reports any unusual symptoms, occurrences or discrepancies to manager and appropriate Physicians.Completes treatments and procedures as ordered and assigned by the Physician, consistent with patient complexity and commensurate with the skill, knowledge, and training of the individual.Provides care safely, with adequate quality, quantity, and timeliness and according to applicable standards.Admits patients to all areas within pre and post-operative and post-anesthesia services, and receives and reviews pre post-operative report.Sets-up, operates and monitors the use of various systems, equipment and instrumentation required for the care of patients.Reviews and initiates Physician's orders, administers medication, parenteral fluids and treatment as needed.Provides instruction, information, and counseling to patients and their families as needed. Distributes educational material as appropriate.Maintains medication and nursing documentation within the patient record.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and development levels of patients served.

    Requirements:
    Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred from a nationally accredited nursing program2-4 years of PACU, ICU and/or ER RN experience is required; 4-6 years of experience preferred.Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana requiredBLS, ACLS certification required; PALS preferred

    OrthoIndy Hospital Northwest, located in Indianapolis, Indiana,provides outpatient care and inpatient care, with 10 operating rooms, 2procedure rooms and a 42-bed inpatient unit for patients undergoing moreinvasive procedures, such as disc replacement, spinal fusion or total hip andknee joint replacement. Other services include an urgent care,clinics, pre-op clinic, imaging and physical therapy.
    General Statement of Duties:

    The Registered Nurse PPOP PACU provides nursing care and service during the preoperative and postoperative periods, integrating and making nursing judgments pertaining to the patient's condition on a routine and emergency basis. The position oversees the supervision of all non-licensed personnel, while also receiving direction from Physicians.

    Essential Duties:
    Monitors and assesses patient condition and reports any unusual symptoms, occurrences or discrepancies to manager and appropriate Physicians.Completes treatments and procedures as ordered and assigned by the Physician, consistent with patient complexity and commensurate with the skill, knowledge, and training of the individual.Provides care safely, with adequate quality, quantity, and timeliness and according to applicable standards.Admits patients to all areas within pre and post-operative and post-anesthesia services, and receives and reviews pre post-operative report.Sets-up, operates and monitors the use of various systems, equipment and instrumentation required for the care of patients.Reviews and initiates Physician's orders, administers medication, parenteral fluids and treatment as needed.Provides instruction, information, and counseling to patients and their families as needed. Distributes educational material as appropriate.Maintains medication and nursing documentation within the patient record.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and development levels of patients served.
