Position Responsibilities: In this position, you'll be responsible for welcoming and greeting all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone. Accurately updating patient demographics. Facilitates patient flow by notifying the health care team of patients' arrival, delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff. Prepares and assembles charts for the next day. ORA holds all of our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a member of our ASC team, you're actively involved in work that makes a significant difference in the lives of our patients. Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in the healthcare setting is preferred. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Displays excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and computer skills. Candidates must possess the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, as well as communicate and interact with patients and their families clearly and effectively. Position Responsibilities: We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused DME Specialist to provide excellent patient care and support in the clinical setting. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and applying durable medical equipment (DME) to patients as directed by providers, ensuring proper fit. This role involves educating patients and caregivers on equipment use and care instructions, resolving patient concerns related to equipment use, conducting pre-authorizations/pre-certifications, and referrals when applicable, ensuring all documentation guidelines are met as required by each insurance carrier, and informing patients of their potential financial responsibility for the equipment. Other responsibilities include ordering products, maintaining functional inventory, and assisting clinical and casting staff with direct and indirect patient care activities. ORA holds all our staff members accountable for providing high-level care, maintaining patient confidentiality, and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulations. As a DME Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks. Requirements: This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous DME, medical assisting, or other related healthcare experience is strongly preferred. A successful candidate will have knowledge of the musculoskeletal system, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals is a requirement of this position.
