    Title: Framing Construction Carpenter

    Location: Field, Orlando, FL

    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

    Summary: ODC Construction is seeking a skilled Framing Construction Carpenter to join our team and contribute to the successful completion of framing tasks across various construction projects. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and installing structural framing components such as walls, floors, and roofs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in framing, a strong understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to quality and safety. As part of a dynamic team, the Framing Carpenter will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

    Reports to: Director of Framing

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements.Construct and install framing components, including walls, floors, roofs, beams, studs, joists, rafters, and headers, according to project specifications.Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials for framing structures.Ensure all framing work is level, square, and aligned with project specifications and quality standards.Operate and maintain framing tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.Perform quality checks on framing work to ensure it meets company and regulatory standards.Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment.Assist with the installation of temporary scaffolding and other site setup duties.Collaborate with other trades and team members to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.Maintain tools, equipment, and job site organization to promote efficiency and safety.Identify and address potential issues with framing materials, designs, or installation.Assist in loading, unloading, and proper handling of materials.Provide input on improving processes, tools, and techniques to enhance work efficiency and quality.

    Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

    Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
