We’re hiring a fully trained Ophthalmic Technician 2 with 2+ years of refracting experience. You’ll handle pre-exam workups, patient history, and diagnostic testing—playing a key role in patient care and supporting our physicians in diagnosing and treating eye conditions.
What You’ll DoPerform vision testing: distance/near acuity, peripheral vision, depth & color perception
Apply anesthetic, dilating, and medicated drops
Collect/process specimens
Triage urgent cases and maintain clinic flow
Prep rooms and assist physicians during procedures
Perform basic equipment maintenance
Follow infection-control and confidentiality standards
What You’ll NeedAbility to work across all specialties and perform all ancillary tasks
Minimum 2 years refracting experience
Excellent verbal and written communication
Patient-focused, outgoing, and service-oriented
Calm, dependable problem-solver
Positive attitude; strong team player
Flexible and comfortable with change
Ocular pharmacology knowledge is a plus, not required
Ability to stand/walk frequently and lift up to 10 lbs

The RoleWe’re hiring compassionate and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technicians and Scribes to support our providers and enhance the patient experience.
In this role, you’ll perform pre-exam testing, document patient encounters in the EMR, assist during exams and procedures, and help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the clinic.
You play a key role in helping our physicians diagnose and treat eye conditions.
Key ResponsibilitiesObtain and document patient history
Perform vision testing (distance, near, peripheral, depth, color)
Administer eye drops (dilating, anesthetic, medicated)
Conduct routine and ancillary ophthalmic testing
Scribe and document provider findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Triage urgent cases and maintain patient flow

What You’ll BringStrong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
EMR experience preferred
Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 10 lbs
Ophthalmology or medical office experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Ophthalmic Scribes play a key role in supporting our providers and patients. You’ll accompany physicians during exams, document real-time patient interactions, and assist with testing and procedures.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
