Overview The Assistant Construction Project Manager supports the execution of commercial construction projects from planning through closeout, partnering closely with project management, field operations, and accounting teams . This role is highly collaborative and ensures accurate documentation, schedule adherence, and budget control across multiple active projects. It offers strong exposure to end-to-end project delivery with a clear path to advancement into a Project Manager role within 1–2 years . Type: Direct hire Schedule: Regular day hours, some travel to sites Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000 Assistant Construction Project Manager Requirements 2+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in construction , across commercial, industrial, healthcare, or educational projects Experience with bidding processes, scope of work development, RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, and change orders Proficiency with project scheduling, budgeting, and timeline coordin ation across multiple projects Strong familiarity with construction methods and project documentation workflows Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams Proficienc y in MS Office, PDF editing tools, and scheduling software with exposure to Procore or Bluebeam preferred St rong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, with the ability to interface confidently with clients and stakeholders Associate degree required, wi th a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not a deal breaker Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to job sites as needed Assistant Construction Project Manager Duties S upport project planning and ex ecution, ensuring alignmen t with scope, schedule, and budget through daily coordination with internal and external stakeholders Manage project documentation, schedules, and progress tracking , supporting large-scale builds while independently running smaller projects under $1M Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and clients to maintain timelines, deliverables, and project expectations Participate in bid solicitation, estimating, takeoffs, and proposal development , evaluating bids and defining scopes of work Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance Track project financials and in voicing, maintaining budget alignment and timely reporting Lead or s upport project m eetings, including agenda development, stakeholder communication, and documentation of outcomes Conduct site visits and follow-ups , contributing to quality control, issue resolution, and project closeout activities including punch lists and final reporting Support value engineering efforts and continuous process improvements to enhance project performance
