Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and electrical testing equipment. Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and PLC troubleshooting.Shift: Industrial Electrician:Overnight Shift: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am - (1 opening)3 Days on – 2 Days off – 2 Days on and 3 Days off(36 hours one week, 48 hours the next. Able to work alternating weekends and work overtime when needed)Day Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (flexible to possible changes in day shift schedule) (2 openings)The overnight opportunity has a shift differential pay ($1.00 for regular hours and .64 cents for overtime hours). Hourly Pay rate: $34.76/hourResponsibilities: Industrial Electrician:Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches and other electrical parts and equipment.Observes and listens to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.Initiates purchase order for parts and machines, lubricates, and cleans parts, start devices to test their performance.Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Industrial Electrician:Machine set- up, troubleshoots equipment failures, and perform repair and prevent maintenance services ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed.Must have strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.Must have good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and heating, ventilating and air conditioning related control systems.Read and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, as well as service manuals for all equipment.Troubleshoot and repair both Electrical and Mechanical problems associated with Production and Facility equipment in a timely manner.Must be able to work to repair equipment back to service during emergency breakdowns.Competencies: Industrial Electrician:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.Requirements: Industrial Electrician:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training an experience.Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.Prefer Electrician's License, but not mandatory.Physical Demands: Industrial Electrician:Be able to work 12-hour shifts, 8a-8p or 8p-8am, rotating: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next. Ability to work overtime when needed.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. They employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
