Overview
OnSite Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Foreman to lead all field electrical activities across renewable energy, distributed generation, and transmission infrastructure projects. This role supervises electrical crews, supports project planning, coordinates construction phases, and ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, engineering documents, and industry standards.
The Electrical Construction Foreman serves as the on-site technical expert for installation, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and quality assurance across multiple voltage classes. This position reports to the Director of Construction.
Leadership & Supervision
Lead and supervise electrical technician crews during day-to-day project executionPlan, schedule, and coordinate field work to meet project milestonesProvide clear daily direction and task assignments to field teamsConduct pre-task plans, job briefings, and daily safety meetingsSupport hiring, training, and performance review processes for field personnelEnsure adherence to construction drawings, specifications, and engineering requirementsMaintain productivity, quality, and safety standards across all electrical construction activitiesConstruction & Project Execution
Oversee installation of: Wind turbine electrical systems and equipmentSolar PV electrical systems and equipmentReciprocating generator electrical systems and equipmentBattery energy storage system (BESS) electrical equipmentFuel cell electrical infrastructure and equipmentSubstations, transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protective relay panelsOther electrical systems as project needs requireManage construction activities across various AC and DC voltage classes: Low-voltage control and communication systems480V–600V power distributionMedium-voltage systemsHigh-voltage systems (as qualified)Interpret and build from one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, and construction drawingsLead installation, terminations, testing, and commissioning preparation including: Insulation resistance testingTorque verificationFunctional testingWiring verification and quality checksCoordinate and verify proper LOTO procedures and arc‑flash safety measuresIdentify and troubleshoot electrical installation issues during constructionSupport project engineering and commissioning teamsManage subcontractors, tooling, materials, and onsite logisticsTrack progress and document work performedTravel to project sites as required (≤25% travel expected)Develop construction-related shutdown and energization work plansCoordinate manpower, materials, and equipment for cutovers and energization activitiesEnsure proper safety controls, testing procedures, and startup readinessSupport safe energization and turnover to operations teamsRequired Qualifications
Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent experience)10+ years of electrical construction experience in industrial or power generation environmentsDemonstrated leadership or supervisory experienceExperience leading electrical construction phases, energization support, or system shutdownsStrong knowledge of electrical systems across multiple voltage classesProficiency in reading electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and construction documentsValid driver’s licenseAbility to pass background check and drug screeningPreferred Qualifications
Experience in renewable energy or utility-scale electrical constructionExperience with protective relays, medium-voltage terminations, or substation constructionOSHA 30 certificationNFPA 70E trainingExperience managing subcontractorsMSHA Part 46 certificationPhysical Requirements

OnSite Partners, LLC is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead all scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance (O&M) activities across renewable, distributed generation technologies, and transmission projects. This role supervises field crews, coordinates planned outages and emergency response, and ensures work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
The Foreman serves as the on-site technical leader for electrical work including system shutdowns, commissioning support, troubleshooting, and repairs across multiple voltage classes. This position reports to the Director of Construction.
Leadership & Supervision
