Learn more at www.onepower.com 1 | Summary of functions: The project engineer will be responsible for leading technical matters related to the development, construction, and operation of high-voltage substations, industrial electrical parks, wind turbines, and solar projects. 2 | Major duties and responsibilities: \tPosition responsibilities span project development through construction and into operations. \tInterpret and communicate technical information in design plans, work plans, specifications, and schedules. \tAssist in system and equipment design, evaluation of innovative technologies, and development of detailed engineering deliverables. \tCreate technical reports, design documentation, and engineering assessments to support project development, permitting, construction, and operational readiness. \tPrepare and review detailed engineering drawings and maintain project documentation systems. \tProvide technical support during planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including coordination with external engineering consultants and vendors. \tCoordinate with internal teams and third parties to ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with project requirements, timelines, and operational goals. \tAnalyze data to support design optimization, technical risk identification, constructability and maintainability reviews. \tCollaborate with the project team on technical aspects of permitting, interconnection, compliance, and performance verification. \tEncourage and participate in collaborative innovation efforts across departments to drive continuous improvement and creative problem-solving. 3 | Organizational relationships: Reports to the director of engineering; no supervisory responsibilities at this time; will contribute to the workflow and coordination of engineering tasks across the project lifecycle. 4 | Skills: \tElectrical engineering degree with related work experience (high-voltage for renewables, industrial, and/or utilities); achievement/pursuance of a professional engineering licensure is expected; or significant equivalent professional experience. \tComprehensive understanding of engineering technology and tools \texcellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in an entrepreneurial environment \tmust be comfortable solving problems that have never been solved \texpert in excel; proficient in word, outlook, powerpoint; 3d drawing software and programming experience a plus; familiarity with sel relay/meter software a plus.
