Performs tasks related to the alteration, repair, construction and maintenance of floors, stairways, partitions, and walls in a commercial environment. Lays out and frames walls with wood or metal studs. Installs wall protection including FRP board, crash rails, corner guards, etc. Drywall hanging & finishing. Installation of doors & metal frames, including replacing door locks and hardware. Installation of drop ceiling grid and tile. Installation and repair of modular carpet squares. Performs modular furniture assembly and installation. Inspects structures to identify and repair defective or damaged sections or parts. Read and interpret building plans/blueprints and takes measurement of distances and materials to establish the dimension/size of a structure. Minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC and painting ceilings, doors, windows, fixtures, and furniture. Erect ladders and scaffolding to assemble wood/metal parts above ground level. Manages small projects and oversite of subcontractors. Ensure compliance with safety regulations to minimize risk of workplace accident. Responds to off-hour emergencies (on-call). Ensure that service delivery to the client is timely and of the highest quality.Repair and maintenance of floors, stairways, partitions, drywall, painting, doors, windows, and furniture.Minor troubleshooting of faulty electrical systems/circuits.Minor HVAC PMs: replace filters as needed.Replace door locks and hardware.Basic landscaping as needed.Small project work.Available for on-call coverage evenings and weekends.Utilize CMMS work order system.Additional duties as assigned.Requirements for the Facilities Maintenance Technician I Position:
