Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one in-home support to an individual with developmental disabilities. This position focuses on promoting independence, enhancing daily living skills, and providing person-centered care in the individual's home.
Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide person-centered support in the individual's home.Assist with activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks as needed.Support the development of communication, social, and independent living skills.Implement individualized support plans and behavioral strategies.Ensure the individual's health, safety, and well-being at all times.Complete accurate documentation and progress notes.Maintain professional communication with supervisors and family members.
Qualifications
Spanish-speaking preferred.Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Ability to pass a criminal background check.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain.Reliable, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care.
