Embalmer / Crematory Operator - Full-Time
Oklahoma Mortuary Service - Tulsa, OK
Oklahoma Mortuary Service is seeking a licensed Embalmer/ Crematory Operator to join our growing team. We provide professional trade services to funeral homes throughout Oklahoma and are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, pays close attention to detail, and works well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform embalming and restorative art procedures
Answer phone calls from funeral homes and dispatch drivers accordingly
Prepare decedents for visitation and final disposition
Operate and maintain the crematory and perform cremations in accordance with company procedures and all applicable state and regulatory requirements
Ensure proper identification, documentation, and tracking throughout the cremation process
Complete all required embalming, cremation, and case documentation accurately
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional prep room and crematory
Follow all OSHA, safety, and company procedures
Work closely with our removal and support staff to provide exceptional service to our client funeral homes
Qualifications:
Current Funeral Director/Embalmer license or ability to obtain an Oklahoma license
Crematory experience or certification preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate
Strong embalming and restorative skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to proper identification and chain-of-custody procedures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional appearance and demeanor
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Schedule
Full-time position
Evening and weekend availability strongly preferred
Some on-call responsibilities may be required
Schedule may vary based on case volume and operational needs
