We are looking for drivers to join our team! In this role, you will safely operate a company transportation vehicle along prescribed routes and schedules, providing door-to-door transportation for students. This position also transports students, teachers, and coaches for field trips and athletic events while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Essential Responsibilities
Student Transportation
Drive a company transportation vehicle along prescribed route(s) in accordance with established time schedules.Pick up and discharge students door-to-door.Transport students and teachers on field trips to various locations, planning necessary route(s) and stops as needed.Transport students and coaches to out-of-town field trips and athletic tournaments, planning necessary route(s) and stops as needed.Maintain order and proper discipline of student passengers in accordance with district policy.Vehicle Safety & Maintenance
Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of the assigned vehicle.Report any mechanical repairs needed to ensure safe operation.Service vehicles with gas and oil, and check and fill tires and batteries as necessary.Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle to ensure a safe operating condition.Training & Compliance
Attend required safety meetings, first aid training, and ongoing training updates.Participate in driver training programs to maintain current knowledge of the Ohio Motor Vehicle Code and the Education Code as they apply to the transportation of school children.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Applicants will be asked to provide a driver's abstract High school diploma or equivalent.Specific certifications may be required depending on the position.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.Ability to successfully complete BCI and FBI background checks
