    Job DescriptionJob Description

    O’Brien Interiors Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the successful renovation of occupied and unoccupied apartment units. This position requires regular travel to various project sites within the Midwest and overnight travel may be necessary. Your responsibilities will include a wide range of carpentry tasks, from framing and installing cabinets to finishing touches like trim and fixtures.

    Responsibilities:

    Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work.Design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation.Add fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures.Install basic plumbing fixtures.Install basic electrical fixtures.Select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to suit the customer’s budget and style.Liaison with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals.Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations.Operate basic hand tools, powered hand tools, metal and wood cutting saws, drills, material handling equipment, and grinders.Keep tools, equipment, and vehicles on an established maintenance schedule and in good working order.Ensure that inventory on tools and equipment is kept up to date.Work in adverse weather conditions without temperature or other environmental controls and subject to ambient weather conditions.Communicate in a professional manner.Demonstrate the ability to maintain good attendance.Communicate and uphold the Company’s commitment to core values, Integrity, and Code of Ethics, and ensure the same for the entire team.All Other Duties as Assigned.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent.Valid driver's license.Strong mechanical skills and physical stamina.Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 100 lbs.).Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work overtime when required.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

    Warehouse Drivers at O’Brien Interiors Group play a critical role in the successful execution of construction projects by ensuring the seamless flow of materials and maintaining the integrity of our field operations. You will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of goods between the warehouse and project sites. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can transition smoothly between driving, operating machinery, and skilled manual labor in various environmental conditions. This position requires regular travel to various project sites within the Midwest, and overnight travel may be necessary.

    Responsibilities:

    Logistics & Delivery: Safely operate company vehicles and forklifts to load, transport, and unload materials; conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery and inventory logs.Warehouse Operations: Receive and inspect shipments for damage, process orders according to established procedures, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Technical Execution: Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including wood/metal saws, drills, and grinders, to assist with project needs.Equipment Maintenance: Keep all tools, equipment, and vehicles on an established maintenance schedule to ensure they remain in safe, working order.Field Support: Work effectively in field settings, often in adverse weather conditions, to meet project deadlines and support the broader construction team.Safety & Integrity: Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety regulations and upholding the Company’s commitment to core values and ethical conduct.Team Collaboration: Communicate professionally with project teams and provide manual labor support for "all other duties as assigned" to ensure project success.Must be at least 18 years of age.Possess a valid driver's license.High school diploma or equivalent required.Must have strong general mechanical skills.Ability to perform very heavy work -- routinely lifts 25-75 lbs., occasionally lift 76 lbs. to greater than 100 lbs.Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motion also required.Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.Must be able to work overtime, if necessary.Must be able to learn, recall, and apply work procedures and rules relevant to job functions.Must be able to anticipate, evaluate, and consider the consequences of various actions when required to make on-the-job decisions without benefit of supervision.Must be able to identify and use common shop tools, instruments, and machines.Must be able to work in a team environment that requires cooperation with others, offering help when needed, and maintain positive working relationships.Training on site personnel on and implementing safety measures in the field.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can transition smoothly between organized warehouse management and professional field delivery in various environmental conditions.

    Responsibilities:

    Warehouse Operations: Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage; verify quantities against freight logs; and maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant workspace using professional racking systems.Material Kitting & Prep: Build project-specific kits based on Bills of Materials (BOMs); pre-stage hardware and finish materials by unit or floor to improve field efficiency; and identify inventory shortages before dispatch.White-Glove Delivery: Safely load and unload 26’ box trucks and transit vans; ensure materials are delivered damage-free to specific in-unit locations; and protect finished surfaces within occupied environments.Equipment & Safety: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment; conduct daily inspections; and adhere to all load securement standards and company safety protocols.Field Support: Coordinate professionally with property managers and superintendents; collect POD documentation; and work effectively in field settings to meet strict project deadlines.Technical Execution: Support tool crib and PPE tracking; identify and use common shop tools; and provide manual labor support for "all other duties as assigned" to ensure project success.Team Collaboration: Communicate professionally with project teams, work cooperatively in a team environment, and maintain positive working relationships with all field and warehouse staff.
