About the Role: As a business analyst in the Modernization and Data Solutions practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today's ever-changing healthcare landscape. Over the last five years, NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems. Serving as a business analyst, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC associate consultant will include supporting healthcare technology initiatives for our clients, partners, and stakeholders - primarily through applying effective business analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to our healthcare project(s). Key Responsibilities: Document user stories/requirements that define the project's business objectives. Elicit and document business requirements under the guidance of senior resources. Support the team in conducting analyses and construct business requirements, use cases, and business process flows to support the desired end state. Document current-state assessments as a part of a high-functioning team. Document meeting minutes, action items, and next steps for moving project work forward. Exhibit excellent organization, writing, documentation, communication, and analytical skills to meet project goals. The target base salary for this position is $60,407 to $75,508 per year. About the Role: As a principal consultant in the Technology Procurement and Implementation Services practice area, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients with their technology and system modernization efforts. Serving as a technical project manager, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include liaising closely with an implementation vendor(s) team and representing the client through the entire life cycle of a system implementation or upgrade. It will include supporting the client in ensuing that the vendor stays within the project scope, timeline, budget, and resources, as well as providing applicable technical expertise in an advisory capacity for the vendor to implement an IT solution successfully for our clients. The project manager will assess client needs and manage client expectations, while also balancing the project team's goals and objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee NYSTEC project team and liaise with the client and their vendor(s) during software development and/or system modernization projects, from conception to completion. Create and maintain key project documentation for NYSTEC's roles and responsibilities on the project. Determine and define the project and task scope and objectives for NYSTEC team members. Develop and manage a detailed project work plan and project schedule. This role owns the daily operation, performance, and continual improvement of the service desk - driving speed, quality, and transparency across incidents, requests, and end-user services. This position is primarily on-site in Albany, with an expected regular presence in our Rome office to support staff and maintain a close connection with the team.
