Job Summary:
The Line Cook position at Nutrition Solutions requires a high level of ownership, self-sufficiency, and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, an unwavering attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Team members are responsible for preparing and cooking meats, vegetables, and other hot/cold food products accurately and efficiently.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required to successfully perform job responsibilities, which include creating reports, delivering presentations, and collaborating with team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive deliveries and set up/stock food items and supplies at the start of each day.Prepare various meats, poultry, vegetables, and other foods in mass production using ovens, grills, skillets, etc.Cut, chop, mix, and prepare sauces as needed.Cook using methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing while adhering to specified recipes and standards.Assist with plating and assembling individual meals.Meet or exceed production deadlines and maintain productivity.Have a strong working knowledge of the wrap machine.Maintain high cleanliness standards and adhere to food safety protocols by handling food properly and ensuring accurate storage.Clean and sanitize cooking surfaces at the end of shifts.Utilize temperature logs to maintain food safety standards.Continuously seek ways to improve productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness within the team.Take full responsibility for the quality of products served.Consistently follow company cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies.Properly handle, store, and rotate all products.Support food prep assignments as needed.Follow plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.Adhere to portion sizes and perform quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with standards.Open/close the kitchen following the proper procedures and assist colleagues as needed.Cross-train in other departments, including Customer Service and warehouse support, to better understand the business and collaborate with team members across different functions.Ideal Candidates Must:

Ability to walk or stand for eight (8) hours or more.Capable of lifting and moving heavy pots of food and large bags of food, stocking walk-in coolers.Regularly required to work in refrigerated/freezer environments for 3+ hours.Must be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds at a time.Benefits:

Steward/Dishwashers are responsible for the daily upkeep of their entire work area and contributing to the overall organization and cleanliness of the facility.
Duties include but are not limited to the following.
Key responsibilities & duties
Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils and facility groundsHandles, stores and rotates all products properly.Assists in all food prep assignments as needed.Washes pots, pans and kitchen utensils using the dishwasher or by hand.Puts away clean equipment and utensils in proper storage areasSweep and mop all floors, walk-ins, bathrooms and all other facility areas.Take out all garbage, breakdown boxes before taking to dumpster and keeps garbage areas and pails clean.Other duties as assigned by the kitchen supervisor.Ideal candidate must:
