As part of this team, you will work with emerging microservice and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness (SSA) data processing and distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software components in Java and Spring.Apply astrodynamics knowledge to develop algorithms and software supporting SDA mission requirements.Build, test, and deploy microservices in a containerized environment using Docker and Kubernetes.Work with distributed systems and data platforms, including MongoDB, Redis, and Elasticsearch.Integrate with and leverage messaging frameworks such as ActiveMQ and Kafka.Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, resilient software systems.Collaborate closely with systems engineers, data scientists, and mission experts to deliver high-quality solutions.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.Strong software development experience with Java including Spring framework.Experience or academic background in astrodynamics (e.g., orbital mechanics, space object tracking, propagation, or related).Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with modern databases (MongoDB, Redis) and distributed data processing.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment developing solutions from both written and spoken requirements.Desired Qualifications:
