We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational therapist (OT) to join our educational team for the 2025-2026 school year, providing school-based therapy services to students in grades Pre-K through 12 within the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) system. The Occupational Therapist (OT) will support students in improving their ability to participate in academic and daily activities, aligned with individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group occupational therapy services to students with IEP mandates.
Conduct evaluations and reevaluations using standardized assessments and write clear, detailed reports.
Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans aligned with students' IEPs and educational needs.
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other service providers to support inclusive classroom participation.
Document services provided and maintained compliance with NPORT and SESIS (Special Education Student Information System).
Attend IEP meetings, if needed, and contribute to students' progress updates and annual reviews.
Comply with NYS OT licensure standards, DOE policies, and all reporting and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
Licensed and registered occupational therapist in New York
Experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred.
Familiarity with SESIS, NPORT, and DOE documentation requirements is a plus.
Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
