    Under minimal direction of a supervisor, responsible for quality parts produced on various machines such as but not limited to CNC boring mill machines. Responsible for set-up, operation and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements holding close tolerances and maximum efficiencies.     What's the Job Like?

    The successful Production Welder, will perform a variety of duties pertaining to the position, rework, fit and weld according to written and typed instructions, blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and knowledge of characteristics of metal and select equipment and plan layout, fabrication, assembly and welding. This is an indoors position with facility heating and air conditioning available. Day Shift Hours. Onsite Work.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Lay out, position, align and fit components together using applicable machines, tools and equipment. Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for final welding. Set up and weld parts using welding equipment. Maintain sufficient knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, structural design, heat effects and allowances for thickness of metal to project location of holes, cuts and bends from blueprints, written and typed instructions and manufacturer's specifications. Use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines. Perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals, in accordance with established methods and procedures. Maintain production documentation per required procedure. Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures


    FACILITY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Performs intermediate and precision welding techniques. Designs, fabricates, joins and/or repairs space age metals, scientific and research components using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, TIG welding techniques. Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, positioners and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools. May also perform minor operations on metal lathes and milling machine. Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements, sequence of welding assignments, and personnel needs.


    EDUCATION AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    High school graduate or equivalent OR completion of an accredited two-year welder's training program and 4 years of welding experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved equating to 6 or more years total, required.
    2-4-years' experience welding using MIG and TIG on thin material, required. Self-starter, able to work overtime, and alter shift as the needs of the company

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.     Assemble fiberglass tanks and components using hand and power tools Operate production equipment safely and efficiently Follow manufacturing schedules and complete tasks with minimal supervision Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Adhere to all NOV company policies and procedures, including Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality Assurance, and Operational Guidelines Perform other duties as assigned


    Job Duties:

    Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions Work overtime and flexible shifts, including day or night schedules, as needed Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and repetitive movement for 8-12 hours per day Lift up to 15 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Maintain a safety-first mindset while working collaboratively with team members


    Education and Qualifications:

    High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required) Minimum 6 months of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred Familiarity with hand tools and power tools preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed Ability to work day or night shift


    Pay Range

    $23.09 - $37.82 per hour, depending on experience.
