Job description:
A Norwalt Assembly Technician will be responsible for the building, wiring, and debugging of various types of automated machinery. Norwalt is an Engineer to Order (ETO) company and therefore provides unique and custom machinery to meet the needs of its customers. Therefore, the machines that employees are exposed to are always unique and evolve with technological advancements. Machines are assembled at Norwalt starting with a bare frame then built and tested prior to shipping to Norwalt customer facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble subassemblies on various types of automation machineryAlter parts for appropriate function and fit using various methodsMachine shop equipment is available for all employeesEquipment includes manual milling machines and lathes, drill presses, band saws, abrasive saws, handheld sanders, belt sanders, handheld abrasive discs, etc.Alter parts based on poor function determined at the time of assembly and communicate with engineeringRun and manage cables and airlines so that schematics are followed and machine is aesthetically up to standardsWork with engineers on ways to improve designs and functionality of machineryTroubleshoot machinery after all components are assembled and wiredAssist in scheduling and tasks for assembly technicians and electromechanical techniciansQualification Requirements
Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience with automated machineryRobotics troubleshooting (SCARA and 6-Axis)Experience in using basic hand and power toolsMachine shop experience (manual mill and lathes)Ability to read blueprints, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematicsAbility to read blueprints helpful but not requiredAbility to navigate a computer (CAD experience helpful but not required)Norwalt offers training to specific Norwalt applications to be used on the computersValid Driver's License

Norwalt Automation Group is looking for a reliable, hands-on person to support our Tampa manufacturing plant.
This role is a mix of plant support, basic administrative follow-up, organization, and light assembly support. It is a good fit for someone who is practical, dependable, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a factory environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support the plant leader with scheduling, travel coordination, appointments, meetings, and follow-up items
· Update Smartsheet, Excel and other tracking tools
· Help prepare for customer visits, audits, and internal meetings
· Check and restock shop supplies, office supplies, bathroom supplies, and common plant items
· Help organize shelves, storage areas, tools, parts, and common areas
· Coordinate inbound and outbound shipping
· Facilitate job cart setup, organization and parts management
· Coordinate inventory management and cyclical counting
· Assist with basic assembly work when needed; Follow up on open action items and make sure small tasks do not fall through the cracks
· Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record
IDEAL BACKGROUND:
· Comfortable doing both computer work and hands-on plant-floor work
· Mechanically inclined and willing to help wherever needed
· Organized, dependable, and able to work without constant reminders
· Comfortable using Outlook, Microsoft Office, and basic tracking systems
· Smartsheet experience is helpful but not required
· Willing to learn basic assembly skills. Training will be provided
This is not a desk-only assistant job. Some days will involve scheduling and computer work. Other days will involve checking supplies, organizing the shop, helping with assembly, or preparing the plant for meetings and visitors.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Controls Design Engineer to develop and document electrical control systems for custom automation equipment. This role is responsible for creating electrical schematics, generating bills of materials (BOMs), and ensuring designs comply with applicable UL and IEC standards. The ideal candidate has strong experience with EPLAN and a solid understanding of industrial control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control schematics for industrial automation systems using EPLAN.Maintain legacy control schematics in AutoCADCreate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) aligned with project requirements and company standardsEnsure all designs comply with UL, IEC, and other applicable electrical codes and standardsDevelop panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and interconnect drawingsCollaborate with mechanical engineers, controls engineers, and project teams to integrate electrical systems into overall machine designReview and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and complianceSupport panel fabrication, assembly, and field installation teams by resolving design issuesMaintain documentation and revision control throughout the project lifecycleParticipate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Qualifications

A Norwalt Service Technician will be responsible for customer support on site for machine installation, troubleshooting, and rebuilds. Job will be 60%+ on the road. All parts, machine problems, and additional details will be provided to the service technician before the job starts. The goal is the schedule travel and work being done during normal work week hours, sometimes it will come up where off hour work will be needed but that will be compensated. The service technician will report directly to the Service Manager and Director of Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Rebuild existing parts of custom automated machinery purchased by customers
• Work on lineup and installation of machines run and tested at Norwalt facility
• Assist customers in troubleshooting machines where they have issues
• Fill out service and expense reports at end of each trip
• Assist customers in creating spare part requests
• Work with service manager to recommend spare parts and installation for warn or outdated components
Qualification Requirements
• Ability to perform math calculations (i.e. fractions and decimals)
• Experience in using basic hand and power tools recommended but not required
• Ability to navigate a computer (CAD experience helpful but not required)
• Ability to read pneumatic and electrical schematics
• 4 years experience working in automation machinery
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel
