Specific ResponsibilitiesServe as the face of Northmarq for on-site events and be an ambassador to clients, employees, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal guest experiences.Coordinate event administrative tasks, including sponsorship deadlines, event platform set-up, attendee registrations, sourcing and ordering branded gifts, preparing nametags, table hosting systems, inbound and outbound event shipping, deploying post-event surveys, and post-event reporting.Support a defined set of smaller-scale targeted and regional events to ensure smooth execution and optimal client experience. Includes working with industry partners to establish contracts, coordinating on-site tradeshow exhibits and branding, ordering promotional materials, ordering food and beverage, managing budgets, and soliciting feedback from attendees, and reporting results.Assist with various tasks for larger-scale events, including sponsorship logistics, determining room layouts and setup requirements, arranging food and beverages, managing audiovisual needs, preparing materials, sourcing and ordering branded gifts, and coordinating sponsorship assets.Maintain the team's event and promotional material inventory, including branded merchandise, tradeshow assets, gifts, and event materials.When on-site, provide day-of event support, including setup, registration, troubleshooting, vendor management, attendee experience, tear-down, and post-event follow-up.Print and organize critical documents needed on-site (attendee list, BEOs, floorplans, etc.)Proof documents prior to print, such as attendee name badges, directional signage, etc.Brand Support and Project Management

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, Event Management, or related field.3+ years of event planning or hospitality experience. Northmarq is seeking an experienced Associate Portfolio Manager to join its Bloomington, MN headquarters office.This position requires a deadline-driven, service-focused, and detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for financial statement and rent roll analysis, watchlist/surveillance, reserve disbursement requests, new loan audits, reviewing and analyzing borrower consent requests, calculating/coordinating loan payoffs, and satisfying investor requirements. The focus will be on commercial mortgage risk management and customer service. Additional responsibilities may be added to align with department strategies and objectives.

Specific ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of more complex commercial real estate loans and support senior team members with key tasks on more complex commercial real estate loans. Specific responsibilities include:Working with a diverse range of Life Insurance lenders, companies, private clients, and investment lenders, providing a personalized, client-centric experience tailored to each lender's specific guidelines and requirements.Provide premier customer service to lenders, borrowers, other servicing staff, and regional offices.Follow up with borrowers and management companies regarding variances and general income and expense questions.Monitor and update monthly loan reports utilized by investors and management to analyze portfolio risk.Audit new loan boarding and setup to ensure loan terms and covenants were accurately captured in the servicing system.Support Portfolio Managers and Senior Portfolio Managers with consent requests and various Lender requirementsAnalyze annual and quarterly financial statements for multifamily and commercial properties in accordance with the requirements of various Life Insurance Company Lenders and other investors.Review and make recommendations for releases from reserves, including replacement, repair, capital expenditure, TI/LC, and insurance loss.Analyze and make recommendations for lender consent of borrower requests, including lease approvals, maturity extensions, partial releases/substitutions of collateral, easements, condemnations, ownership transfers, loan assumptions, etc.Follow up with borrowers to resolve any post-closing deferred maintenance items or other high-risk items identified during the annual inspection.Process insurance loss requests, manage proceeds, and monitor the restoration of the property.Calculate and coordinate loan payoff requests, including yield maintenance calculations.Monitor and collect outstanding mortgage payments, carefully documenting collection efforts.Perform financial covenant testing calculations including NOI, DSCR, debt yield, etc.Grow and develop strong relationships with Northmarq's Life Insurance Company Lenders.Provide training and mentoring across teams on areas of expertise, including analysis, underwriting, and general CRE knowledgeServe on procedure committees, updating policies and procedures for Portfolio & Asset Management.Minimal business travel for lender visits, industry/company conferences, etc. (1-3 times per year).May participate in department strategic initiatives.Perform other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned within the department.Strategically manage workload to uphold portfolio standards and align with departmental objectivesEducation and Work ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance, real estate, or accounting.
Work Experience: 3-6 years of experience in finance or accounting, finance asset management, or commercial lending
Demonstrated Technical Competencies:

This position requires a deadline-driven, organized and detail-minded individual who will be responsible for monitoring and paying real estate taxes and filing UCC statements, ensuring minimized risk to all investor portfolios. Focus will be on achieving a solid understanding of commercial real estate tax terminology, working independently, management of assigned portfolio, and consistent attention to detail and accuracy in all job responsibilities. Essential Accountabilities:Ensure all commercial loans have property taxes paid and escrows analyzed in conformity with investor and company regulations. Ensure all commercial loans have valid UCC statements filed, continued and terminated in conformity with investor and company regulations.Review borrower requests/loan events to ensure continued tax and UCC compliance.Plan and schedule own workload to most efficiently meet benchmarks and manage assigned portfolio, prioritizing according to risk and urgency.Identify potential risk for the company and the investor and promptly notify the appropriate parties.Manage and escalate, as necessary, high-risk tax and UCC delinquencies, lapses or other issues promptly. Work with leadership as necessary to research, communicate and resolve the issue with the appropriate parties.Reach prompt and satisfactory resolution of tax or UCC statement non-compliance, or other issues.Maintain a solid basis of commercial real estate tax and UCC statement expertise, quality and understanding of risk.Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all customers, internally and externally.Conduct due diligence of loan documents to ensure proper loan setup and servicing of the loan.Provide recommendations for creating or updating company procedures/guidelines for job responsibilities.Assist with the training of other team members.Accurately maintain and update servicing system files.Monitor and update monthly loan reports utilized by investors and management to analyze potential risk.Work collaboratively with other Servicing and Production personnel on projects and to resolve issues.Perform other reasonable tasks/projects as assigned.What We're Looking For:Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; with preferred emphasis in Business Administration, Finance or Real Estate; or applicable business experience.
