Heavy Truck Mechanic
Northern Clearing is looking to hire a full-time Heavy Truck Mechanic to work in our Ashland, WI Shop. This position requires diverse knowledge on heavy truck and equipment engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, electronics, hydraulics; with the ability to diagnose, repair, and rebuild them.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
As a heavy truck mechanic, your role will primarily be focused on performing diagnostic, preventative, and routine maintenance on heavy-haul trucks, diesel machinery, and other heavy-duty related equipment.
You will perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function including diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. You will maintain accurate service records and work orders ensuring all completed work is documented within our work order system. Proficient skills and abilities to use computers and tablets for our work order software is preferred. Additional duties and responsibilities will be determined by the shop manager including but not limited to:
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair procedures for diesel engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems. Experience and knowledge with DOT compliance and regulationsThe ability to weld and fabricateSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have experience in heavy-duty truck and diesel repair. The successful candidate will be a hard worker, have a can-do attitude, personable, punctual, and safety minded. This position will assist the Marketing Manager and develop skills and experience in business administration, social media marketing, and community relations.

Assist in maintaining a social media presence on all platforms such as Linked-in, Facebook, Instagram, etc.Assist in organizing Corporate and Community Events. Key Responsibilities
1.Office Administration

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, to replace and update worn and broken parts as needed. This includes servicing equipment and components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems. Maintain service records and work orders of equipment ensuring all completed work is documented within our work order system. Proficient skills and abilities to use computers and tablets for our work order software is preferred.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
