Click Here for the Secondary Regular Education Teacher Full Job Description Position Summary: The CTE Health Services Teacher: * Designs and leads a hands-on instructional program to ensure student academic success and workplace readiness. * Develops and administers a culturally responsive health science curriculum consistent with District, industry, and post-secondary objectives. * Collaborates with the Health Services team to ensure program alignment and instructional consistency. * Teaches comprehensive units of study, including medical terminology, body systems, healthcare ethics, patient safety, and professional behaviors. * Manages the Health Science lab, including equipment, inventory, and departmental budgeting. * Supports student growth in both academic knowledge and professional workplace skills. * Teach skills and provide knowledge in health sciences, including diverse educational and career pathways * Advises and supports the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), a global, student-led organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and various federal and state agencies. License Requirement: The candidate must hold or be able to obtain a CTE teaching license in position subject area. The candidate may also already be an Oregon licensed teacher with industry experience or someone without a teaching license who has industry experience who is interested in pursuing a CTE teaching license. In order to qualify for a CTE teaching license, the applicant must show recent and relevant knowledge in the industry that they want to teach.
