    Responsibilities and duties:

    Sets up and operates CNC machines and other related equipment. This position works a 4 x 10hr schedule, Mondays thru Thursdays 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM

    Skills and experience:

    Must have 3 or more years of CNC Milling set-up experience. Tsugami experience strongly preferred. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings. Must be capable of performing inspection on comparator and microscope and perform deburring. Must be capable of working on very small parts. Must have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Must have outstanding communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to work additional hours as needed. Read Less

    Leads team to meet safety, production, and quality goals. Trains staff as needed. Operates and sets up CNC machines and other related equipment as needed.

    Why This Role Exists

    Due to continued growth and increasing production demand, Norman Noble is expanding its Swiss machining team to support the manufacture of highly specialized medical device implants.

    This role plays a key part in producing ultra-precision components used in life-changing cardiovascular, neurovascular, and orthopedic devices where accuracy and consistency are critical.

    The Work You'll Be Doing

    In this role, you will:

    Operate Swiss-type CNC machines producing micro-scale medical components Load material, monitor machining cycles, and maintain consistent production Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet strict specifications Handle exceptionally small, precision parts requiring careful attention Maintain quality standards throughout production runs Work closely with setup technicians, engineers, and quality personnel Follow established processes and documentation for medical manufacturing

    This is a production-focused operator role - setup and programming are not required.

    Machines, Controls & Software

    You'll work with equipment such as:

    Machines: Citizen Swiss-type lathes (L-Series and M-Series preferred) Machine Type: Precision Swiss turning for micro components Inspection Tools: Precision measurement instruments for small parts

    Materials You'll Work With

    Medical-grade metals (including Nitinol and specialty alloys) Stainless steel and implant materials

    What We're Looking For

    Required:

    Strong CNC machining experience Ability to operate CNC machines in a production environment Comfort working with extremely small precision parts High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to follow procedures and quality standards Reliable and safety-focused work habits

    Preferred (Not Required):

    Experience with Citizen Swiss machines (L-Series or M-Series) Previous Swiss machining experience

    The Work You'll Be Doing

    In this role, you will:

    Machine precision tooling and components to support implant manufacturing Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss-type machines Program parts at the machine or offline as required Operate manual lathes and other conventional equipment Manufacture custom fixtures and tooling solutions Work from sketches, prints, or limited engineering data Perform tooling changes and machine adjustments Troubleshoot machining issues and resolve production challenges Inspect parts using precision measurement equipment Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and repeatability

    Machines, Controls & Software

    You'll work with equipment such as:

    Machines: CNC mills, CNC lathes, Swiss turning equipment, manual lathes Multi-Axis: 4-axis and 5-axis machining (preferred) Programming: CNC programming required Inspection Tools: Precision measuring instruments and optical comparator

    Materials You'll Work With

    What We're Looking For

    Required:

    5+ years of experience machining complex parts CNC programming experience Ability to set up and run CNC mills, lathes, and/or Swiss machines Manual lathe experience Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints Strong knowledge of GD&T Experience using precision measurement equipment Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Advanced math skills Ability to work from minimal instructions or sketches

    Preferred (Not Required):

    Prior toolmaker experience 4-axis and 5-axis machining experience Fixture design and manufacturing experience
