  • Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNorfolk Collegiate School is seeking a dynamic and talented part-time Band Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. This position will teach Middle School Band two mornings per week and Upper School Band two mornings per week.The ideal candidate will bring a passion for music education, a love of working with students in grades 6-12, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment. The band teacher will develop students' musical skills, encourage creative expression, and prepare ensembles for performances throughout the school year.Key Responsibilities:Teach Middle School Band two mornings per week.Teach Upper School Band two mornings per week.Prepare students for concerts, school events, and other performances.Run the sound system for major school events and performances.Build a positive and inclusive classroom culture.Collaborate with the Fine Arts Department and other faculty members.Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school leadership.Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in music education, music performance, or a related field (master's degree preferred).Experience teaching band at the middle and/or upper school level.Strong instrumental music background with the ability to teach a variety of instruments.Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.A commitment to the mission and values of Norfolk Collegiate School.Interested candidates should upload a cover letter, resume, three professional references, an unofficial copy of transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate degrees, and, if applicable, teacher certifications.   • Bus Driver

    Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNorfolk Collegiate seeks part-time bus drivers for the current school year. Responsibilities include afternoon and occasional evening driving of athletic teams for practices and games. From time to time, there will also be opportunities to drive students and teachers to field trips during the school day. Drivers are expected to have an up-to-date CDL with an S or P endorsement and will be paid $25 per hour with a $40 per trip minimum. The ideal candidate has one to three years of experience working with young children. College coursework in elementary education, especially in the areas of child development and psychology, from a 2-year or 4-year institution is preferred.
