    About the Role:

    The Laborer at Boyd Rolloff (BRO) plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of waste management and recycling services. This position involves physically demanding tasks that contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. The Laborer will assist in the loading, unloading, sorting, and disposal of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Through teamwork and attention to detail, the Laborer helps optimize daily workflows and supports the overall mission of sustainable waste handling. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of the facility and requires a dependable individual committed to quality and safety standards.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist with the loading and unloading of waste and recyclable materials using manual labor and equipment as needed.Sort and separate materials according to company guidelines and environmental regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the worksite, including removal of debris and proper disposal of waste.Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely to support daily tasks and facility operations.Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.Perform routine inspections of equipment and work areas to identify maintenance needs.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.Basic understanding of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to all safety guidelines.Reliable attendance and punctuality.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Legal authorization to work in the location of employment.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous experience in waste management, construction, or a related labor-intensive field.Familiarity with the operation of basic machinery such as forklifts or compactors.Certification in OSHA safety standards or similar workplace safety training.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Basic knowledge of environmental regulations related to waste disposal.
