  Job DescriptionJob Description

  As a tow truck driver at Newhouse Towing, you will be responsible for safely operating a company truck, assisting customers, and completing a variety of roadside and towing services. This position requires strong awareness, reliability, and the ability to stay calm and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.

  What You’ll Do

  Perform a daily inspection of your truck before starting your shiftRespond to dispatched calls and maintain communication with dispatch throughout the shiftSafely load, transport, and unload vehiclesProvide roadside services including jump starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, and tire changesGreet customers professionally and assist them when neededFollow instructions at drop locations and confirm proper vehicle placementComplete all required paperwork, including invoices and daily till sheetsTake required photos and document each call accuratelyWork safely in and around traffic at all timesMaintain and clean company equipmentWork as part of a team and support other drivers when needed

  What This Job Requires

  Ability to stay calm and make good decisions under pressureStrong attention to detail and ability to follow proceduresGood communication with customers, dispatch, and team membersAbility to work independently and manage your time effectivelyPhysical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform hands-on work outdoors in all weather

  Qualified Applicants

  Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 citations within the past 5 yearsMust be at least 21 years oldAbility to pass a background check (required for insurance and police contract compliance)Maintain a valid DOT medical card (or ability to obtain and maintain one)Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screeningsReliable transportation to and from workAbility to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, and pullingMaintain a clean, professional appearanceCompany DescriptionNewhouse Towing has proudly served the Portland metro area since 1937.
