Position: Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, this role supports the administration and management of interscholastic and intercollegiate athletic programs. The primary focus is on high school and middle school sports, with some responsibilities for the junior college program. This role provides leadership and oversight of athletic events, coaching staff, facilities, equipment, student-athlete services, and departmental operations. It also involves ensuring compliance with rules and regulations from the NJCAA, NMAA, affiliated conferences, districts, and institutional policies. Additionally, the role acts as a liaison for the Athletic Department and may represent the Athletic Director as needed. The Troop Leadership Advisor (TLA) is directly responsible for the safety, security, health, welfare, mentoring, counseling, discipline, and accountability, and in part, leadership development of a troop of 60 - 90 cadets (with few exceptions) between 14 and 21 years of age.
