A premier private practice neurosurgery group in the Houston area is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA). The practice is well established and does 100% elective cases.
This position will function as an advanced practice practitioner, responsible for maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring care, practicing medicine under the supervision of a licensed physician.
The PA will work in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, operating room and clinic.
No ER or trauma call and light weekend call once every six weeks.
Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for coordinating the daily administration of the front desk operations. The Front Desk Coordinator job duties include but not limited to greeting patients/visitors, answering a multi-telephone line, screening & routing calls, checking in patients, checking out patients, creating charts, data entry in the EMR, appointment reminders, collecting & posting payments, posting office visit charges, reconciling daily batches, office visit insurance verifications, and other projects/assignments as assigned.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone delivering world class customer service.Professionally answer incoming calls by the 3rd ring; promptly screen and route callers accordingly using proper soft transfer technique or to voicemail.Take accurate messages for callers requesting to leave a written message; communicate the message accurately via email to appropriate staff member.Check-in patients arriving by confirming the patient has properly signed in, confirm that their demographics are current and accurate, ensure that we have the patient’s current insurance card & ID scanned in their file, and complete the practice management check-in workflow.Check-out patients at the completion of their visit by collecting the fee ticket, collecting any applicable payment due, and ensure any patients checked in completes check out.Post payments in the practice management software.Complete daily end of the day reconciliation, reconciling all fee tickets against the schedule, ensuring all cash and credit card payments balance with practice management report.Prepare batch and submit to billing timely.Complete appointment reminders daily for the next day office visit appointments for assigned locations.Maintain appearance and inventory at Front Desk.Contact patients to confirm appointments.Other front desk duties as assigned.Rotate between offices depending on patient census.Required Skills/Abilities:

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Schedule is Monday - Friday, no nights or weekends.
