Neurological Specialists of Central Florida is a neurology practice with a special focus in movement disorders including Parkinson’s disease, tremors, tics, dystonia (including patients that receive or qualify for injections of botulinum toxin) and dementia’s, including Alzheimer’s disease and Diffuse Lewy Body Dementia.
We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist that is compassionate, intelligent, and self-motivated. This role has career growth and professional development opportunities for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities include:
Using eClinicalWorks EMR systemGreeting patients professionally both in person and on the phoneChecking patients in/outOptimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling and reschedulingSet up new patients and update current patients’ information in the EMR systemVerifying financial records and collecting patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claimsProcess incoming and outgoing referrals, faxes, and medical record requestsMaintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting supply ordersMaintain the front desk and reception area in an organized fashionQuickly answering or properly referring questions and issuesprior experience getting botox, toxin authorizations.Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Communication skills to converse clearly over the telephone and in personOrganization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectivelyAttention to detail to schedule patients correctly and communicate scheduling difficulties with providers and managementInterpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed
Education and Experience:
Minimum of a high school diplomaAt least one year of relevant experienceeClinicalWorks experience preferred
