Neighbors Helping Neighbors is looking for a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional to help support adults with developmental disabilities in the Santa Barbara area.This is a flexible fill-in position for someone who is available to pick up shifts as needed. There are no guaranteed hours or set schedule, making this a great fit for someone looking for extra income, flexible work, or experience in caregiving and human services.
Responsibilities
Provide support and companionship to clientsAssist with community activities and daily living skillsHelp maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environmentEncourage independence and engagementFollow care plans and communicate with staff as neededQualifications

Then this may be the perfect opportunity for you! Our agency is looking for caring individuals to assist adults with cognitive disabilities in their homes and in the community. The assistance that we provide helps the people we serve have rich and fulfilling lives while becoming more independent.
· Part-time positions available (you can work towards a full-time position if desired)
· Weekend and weekday work available
· Most shifts are: 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm, or 11pm-7am
· Hiring in the Goleta/Santa Barbara area
· Starting salary is $19.00 an hour and up (depending on experience)

Applicants must have:
· A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
· A valid Driver’s license and a good driving record
· Be able to pass a criminal background check
· A strong desire to help others
