    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for the local implementation and delivery of the National Kidney Foundation's (NKF) signature programs to patients and those at risk for kidney disease. These programs include (but are not limited to) KEEP Healthy, Your Kidneys and You, and professional activities, including NKF's Primary Care Initiative.

    The Program Manager will work with the Executive Director to evaluate program performance and ensure activities are aligned with the NKF's strategic plan. The Program Manager may also work in collaboration with Regional leadership and development staff in fundraising efforts.

    Deliver NKF signature programs within the local community. Execute educational programming and screenings within the community. Manage all logistics related to professional education meetings, grand rounds in hospital settings and/or education sessions.Work with local planning committees of the Council on Renal Nutrition (CRN) and the Council of Nephrology Social Workers (CNSW) to develop and execute accredited professional education meetings.Oversee program coordination, marketing, communications, program delivery, tracking and metrics. Recruit, train and manage volunteers.Enhance minority outreach and public awareness activities.Work in collaboration with executive directors, development and program staff to secure funding for local programs by assisting with grant proposals.Develop and coordinate activities to strengthen "World Kidney Day" public education campaign and other public awareness activities. Assist with local expansion strategies, by increasing community and corporate partnerships.Produce local reports on programs performance and provide feedback to management. Assist with the local program budget. Coordinate and lead local Medical Advisory board meetings.Performs additional duties, as required.

    WHAT YOU'LL POSSESS

    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Master's in health-related or social services field, preferred. Minimum three year's work related experience managing community outreach and/or public education programs. Experience working for a non-profit health agency is preferred. Experience in grant proposal writing.Experience working with volunteers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.Fluent in Microsoft Word applications. Flexible for overnight business travel including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Development Manager will fundraise, develop, and steward corporate and individual relationships in the Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas markets with a specific focus in the Kansas City and Wichita areas. The candidate will identify new opportunities to grow portfolio engagement across all fundraising channels to increase revenue, including corporate partnerships, commercial co-ventures, special events, and individual giving. A successful candidate will manage and steward a portfolio of corporate and individual relationships, and work as a team player to drive growth to achieve our mission and revenue goals. This position is accountable for significant revenue targets.

    The ideal candidate must have proven success in fundraising and/or sales and relationship management. Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position. Must have ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and achieve results in a team environment.

    Supervise, plan, execute, budget, and evaluate assigned events.Work closely with the Executive Director and Sr. Development Manager to strengthen the Kidney Walk program by increasing revenue and attendance. Increase recruitment of new teams and participants, retention of past teams and participants, and overall team revenue.Identify, solicit, and manage event sponsors and supporters.Oversee all logistical requirements for pre and post events and onsite execution.Work closely with the Sr. Development Director and Executive Director to ensure that strong committee structures are in place. Plan and attend Committee and Captain meetings regularly and consistently. Secure in-kind donations to reduce costs and increase community involvement and engagement at various events. Help execute and administer grant writing.Manage online fundraising websites to promote events, support individual fundraising, and generate reports. Maintain accurate and thorough records of all activities.Recruit and cultivate fundraising volunteers and maintain fundraising volunteer database. Maintain event budgets, financial reports and records.Assist in annual fundraising campaign proposal asks. Develop innovative methods for the area to maximize its net income, including additional sponsorship opportunities. Meet income goals for events and special initiatives.Will require some travel to community events in Missouri and Kansas.Create and execute fundraising strategies, work to grow additional revenue for the NKF.     WHAT YOU'LL POSSESS

    Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of non-profit fundraising experience. Fundraising and/or sales experience preferred.Proven record of success in account management and developing corporate partnerships that result in exceeding revenue targets, preferred.Knowledge of product marketing/sales concepts.Outcome driven with ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities.Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational skills.Proficient in computer-based information systems.Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

    Manage patient educational programs within the service area.

    Oversee program coordination and delivery, marketing, communications, tracking, and metrics.

    Recruit, train and manage volunteers for all program activities.

    Enhance minority outreach and public awareness activities.

    Oversee a portfolio of pharmaceutical and industry companies and seek funding for comprehensive strategic partnerships.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    Working closely with the Executive Director and Development Team members, and under the direct supervision of the Sr. Director of Development and Communications Director, the Development Coordinator’s role is to support the development and program teams’ fundraising efforts. The scope of responsibilities includes: CRM/database management; recording of daily deposits and processing payments; supporting the planning and execution of development events logistics as needed (e.g. walks, golf, and social events); implementing development communications across digital platforms (e.g. social media; e-newsletters; and website updates); supporting donor and program communications calendar planning; and general administrative tasks. The Coordinator should be highly organized and detail oriented and see themself as a team player.

    This relationship should be characterized by effective communications, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude toward the growth of the Foundation and the achievement of its mission, through mutual understanding of the goals and development objectives of the National Organization.

    Assist with logistics, production, budgeting, and evaluation of all events including, but not limited to: Kidney Walks, Galas, Golf tournaments, cultivation and volunteer appreciation events.Support maintenance of event budgets, financial reports, and records. Become a “super user” of all NKF management platforms (Salesforce, Rallybound, Classy) to generate reports and organize donor outreach.Recording of Daily Deposits and fulfilling donor acknowledgementsProvide marketing and communications support of fundraising initiatives as well as programs.     WHAT YOU’LL DO

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for the local implementation and delivery of the National Kidney Foundation’s (NKF) signature programs to patients and those at risk for kidney disease. These programs include (but are not limited to) KEEP Healthy, Your Kidneys and You, and professional activities, including NKF’s Primary Care Initiative.

    The Program Manager will work with the Executive Director to evaluate program performance and ensure activities are aligned with the NKF’s strategic plan. The Program Manager may also work in collaboration with Regional leadership and development staff in fundraising efforts.

    Deliver NKF signature programs within the local community. Execute educational programming and screenings within the community. Manage all logistics related to professional education meetings, grand rounds in hospital settings and/or education sessions.Work with local planning committees of the Council on Renal Nutrition (CRN) and the Council of Nephrology Social Workers (CNSW) to develop and execute accredited professional education meetings.Oversee program coordination, marketing, communications, program delivery, tracking and metrics. Recruit, train and manage volunteers.Enhance minority outreach and public awareness activities.Work in collaboration with executive directors, development and program staff to secure funding for local programs by assisting with grant proposals.Develop and coordinate activities to strengthen “World Kidney Day” public education campaign and other public awareness activities. Assist with local expansion strategies, by increasing community and corporate partnerships.Produce local reports on programs performance and provide feedback to management. Assist with the local program budget. Coordinate and lead local Medical Advisory board meetings.Performs additional duties, as required.

    WHAT YOU’LL POSSESS

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Master’s in health-related or social services field, preferred. Minimum three year’s work related experience managing community outreach and/or public education programs. Experience working for a non-profit health agency is preferred. Experience in grant proposal writing.Experience working with volunteers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, time-management and organizational skills.Fluent in Microsoft Word applications. Flexible for overnight business travel including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

    WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION

    Ability to lift and transport equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed. Available for overnight business travel. Must have a valid driver’s license.
