    Job Overview:

    Nashville Skin is seeking a Front Desk Assistant to work in our Nashville/Cool Springs locations. Upon completion of 30 days of employment, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance.     This position is for four days per week (Monday through Friday), 10 hours per day, in General Dermatology. Candidates must possess great time management and organizational skills and be motivated, committed, and dependable team players who can work in a fast-paced environment.

    The primary job duties and responsibilities of the Front Desk Assistant are:

    Provide great customer service to our patients.Greet patients and all visitors in a professional and friendly manner.Answer the phones promptly and courteously.Transfer calls to other staff when necessary.Comfort patients by anticipating patients’ anxiety and answering patients’ questions.Optimizes patients’ satisfaction by completing the check-in and check-out process accurately.Enter and update patient information correctly.Enter a copy of insurance cards and ID at each visit.During check-out on the day of services, obtain co-payments, cosmetic fees, and any additional charges or past-due balances and enter them correctly on the patient’s account record.Manage patient’s medical appointments.Make, cancel, and reschedule new and return appointments as needed.Handle scheduling inquiries, or direct them to the proper person.Protect patients’ rights by maintaining HIPAA confidentiality of personal and financial information.

    Qualifications

    High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.Strong customer service skills and good telephone etiquette.High level of organizational skills, able to multitask.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficient in the use of computer programs and office equipment.Detail-oriented, willing to learn, and highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and as a team.

    Summary of ResponsibilitiesRoom patients, review medical history, and obtain a detailed HPI.Explain procedures and obtain patient consent.Scribe for providers during patient visits.Complete laboratory and pathology requisition forms accurately.Assist providers with procedures including biopsies, excisions, and other dermatologic procedures.Administer medications and injections as permitted by licensure and state regulations.Perform wound care and provide post-procedure instructions.Communicate biopsy and laboratory results to patients and coordinate follow-up care.Clean, package, and sterilize instruments.Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.Follow OSHA and infection prevention protocols.Perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsCurrent RN, LPN, or MA credential/licensure required as applicable.Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of certification.Dermatology experience preferred, but not required.Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.Strong commitment to teamwork and patient care.Bilingual Candidates Encouraged to Apply
