Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead multiple institutional education projects for a reputable general contractor based in Sacramento. This position plays a critical role in overseeing all phases of project execution, with a strong emphasis on commercial and institutional developments, particularly those involving DSA (Division of the State Architect) and OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) compliance.
Must Haves
Proven experience as a Project Manager for a General Contractor.Direct experience working with DSA (Division of the State Architect) and/or OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) on regulated education projectsDemonstrated success in K-12 project delivery, especially in hard bid and lease-leaseback formatsStrong knowledge of California building codes and regulatory requirementsTrack record of successfully leading multidisciplinary project teamsStrong contract administration skills with owners, architects, subcontractors, and vendorsDemonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and financial reportingProficient in risk management, contract negotiations, and pricing decisionsExcellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skillsProven ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure site complianceAuthorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities
Lead, direct, and coordinate the overall management of multiple construction projectsSupervise, train, coach, and mentor project teams to achieve high performanceProvide regular feedback and complete staff performance reviews on scheduleAdminister all project contracts and subcontracts in line with company and client requirementsFoster and enhance positive working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractorsDevelop, update, and communicate master project schedules and manage their implementationAdminister projects delivered through hard bid and lease-leaseback (L/LB) methods, especially within K-12 education sectors.Collaborate with pre-construction teams in the planning and development of new projectsMaintain efficient information flow and documentation procedures across all stakeholdersManage project budgets and financials, ensuring accurate tracking and adherence to budget targetsPrepare and review project financial status reports and oversee pay application processesProvide leadership in risk assessment, change order management, and dispute resolutionDrive enforcement of all safety policies and ensure compliance by all site personnelOversee and coordinate all field operations, engineering, and construction processesEnsure timely completion and quality delivery of all project milestonesKeep senior management informed of project progress and financial status through regular reporting and review meetings
