Myers EPS is searching for a detail-oriented individual to join our Transformer team. This individual will wind transformers using semi-automatic winding equipment and may include electrical testing of transformers. Connect coils to terminals and builds up supporting structure of power transformers, according to applicable drawing requirements and work instructions, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required by production needs; this may include being temporarily moved to another department or area to help out or cross-train.
Wraps insulation around coil and secures with adhesive tape.Drives fiber wedges between coil and core, using mallet to hold coil around leg of transformer core.Crimps leads to magnet (coil) wire.Crimps tags to lead wires to conform with wiring diagram.Assembles support structure, clamping angles, terminals, tanks, or cabinet panels.Brazes coil leads to specified tanks of terminal strip.Fabricates coils and assembles component parts to build electric power, distribution, or specialty transformers according to blueprints and wiring or work instructions.Winds copper wire around jig, fixture, or spindle to form primary coil.Fabricates secondary coil on copper plate of specified thickness.Varnish dip transformer.Clean and ink stamp part numbers/date code.HI pot test transformers and check for continuity.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education or high school diploma; or up to three month's related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Other Skills and Abilities
Must be able to read 12 inch scales & tape measure; must be able to operate pallet jack

Myers EPS is searching for Electro-mechanical assemblers to join our team. We manufacture life-safety equipment that is used in commercial building and public spaces throughout North America. Our inverters are used for emergency lighting. When the power goes out, Myers EPS inverters provide power to existing light fixtures to illuminate the path to safety, ensuring that individuals can safely exit the building.

Reads and interprets work orders, follows sample assemblies, pulls parts for shop floor orders and assembles parts/units to work instructions; or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in fixture or other holding device.Crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, solders, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel.Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.Performs intermediate assembly tasks as required.Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.Supervisory Responsibilities
