    Carrier Sales/ Freight Broker Representative

    MW Logistics

    MW Logistics is positioning itself for significant growth and is seeking a motivated Carrier Sales Representative to join our team. This role is critical to driving capacity, maximizing margins, and ensuring exceptional service for our customers and carrier partners.

     

    Core Responsibilities

    Drive daily and weekly load count, revenue, and margin goalsStrategically source, negotiate, and book carriers for available freightNegotiate competitive rates to maximize profitability and develop long-term carrier solutionsBuild and grow a consistent carrier base aligned to specific lanes and volumesEnsure all carriers complete the RMIS onboarding process and are fully qualifiedEstablish and maintain strong carrier relationships to support future capacity needsClearly communicate load requirements and confirm drivers have accurate pickup and delivery detailsMeet departmental and individual profit margin targetsMaintain high carrier satisfaction while representing MWL with professionalism and urgencyManage order entry and create orders via systems, phone, and emailFollow customer SOPs during booking and dispatching processesTrack all shipments per company policy and proactively resolve in-transit issuesProvide required performance and operational reporting to managementExercise sound judgment when handling service failures, escalations, or customer concernsMonitor service levels to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery for customersPromote brand awareness with existing carrier partnersFollow accessorial approval processes when requesting additional chargesComplete special projects and tasks as assigned based on business needs

     

    Professional Qualifications & Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferredMinimum 2+ years of brokerage or carrier sales experience requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Experience with McLeod preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills with strong phone and email etiquetteStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships internally and externallyHigh attention to detail and superior organizational skillsCustomer-service focused with a strong team-oriented mindsetSense of urgency, flexibility, and assertiveness in a fast-paced environmentAbility to multitask, prioritize effectively, and execute with accuracyQuick learner able to give and receive clear instructionsDemonstrates professionalism, critical thinking, and sound judgment to solve problems efficiently

    Position Summary

    The Customer Success Advisor serves as a critical link between our customers, carriers, and operations team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer support while ensuring shipments are tracked, managed, and delivered on time. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.


    Key Responsibilities

    Schedule and secure pick-up, delivery, and rescheduled appointments while accurately documenting all shipment details.Communicate with carriers and drivers to confirm load requirements and delivery instructions.Process customer orders through phone, email, EDI, and internal systems.Monitor shipment activity and proactively resolve transportation issues before they impact service.Manage trailer pools and monitor customer inventory within assigned markets.Approve accessorial charges in accordance with company guidelines.Escalate service failures, customer concerns, and operational issues when appropriate.Maintain service level expectations for assigned customer accounts.Accurately enter EDI reason codes for customer scorecards and reporting.Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.


    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred ORMinimum of two (2) years of transportation or logistics industry experience combined with at least two (2) years of strong customer service experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Experience with McLeod Software is preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with professional phone and email etiquette.Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.Professional, dependable, and customer-focused with sound judgment.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

    Job Title: Staff Accountant

    MW Logistics is currently positioning itself for growth.  We are currently seeking individuals for the position of Account Manager to join our team.  

    The Staff Accountant performs daily routines related to accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger in addition to preparation of various accounting statements and reports.


    Responsibilities:

    ·        Post Daily bank transactions.

    ·        Post Daily A/R related cash receipts applications.

    ·        Daily Credit Card coding, processing, and reconciliation.

    ·        Daily, weekly, and monthly bank reporting.

    ·        Process weekly check runs.

    ·        Month end entries.

    ·        Balance sheet accounts reconciliations and posting of related entries.

    ·        Pro-actively researches and resolves issues with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger. 

    ·        Assist with preparing after month end management reports.

    ·        Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

    ·        Must have a good understanding of GAAP.

    ·        Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.

    ·        Fast learner and ability to work in fast-pasted environment.

    ·         (V-lookups, Pivot tables).

    Work collaboratively with team members and vendor contacts to follow up on vendor billing details and discrepancies completes other projects/responsibilities as assigned

    ·        Special projects as needed.

     

    Professional Qualifications and Experience:

    ·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. 3 years minimum experience.

    ·        Experience in the transportation/logistics (trucking) industry.

    ·        Billing and collection experience is a HUGE plus.

    ·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) with an emphasis on excel (knows v-lookups/Pivot tables)

    ·        Working knowledge of McCleod Software– preferred

    ·        Excellent Communication (written and verbal) skills with emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette.

    ·        Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail

    ·        High customer service orientation.

    ·        Ability to work in a team environment and with confidential data.

    ·        Possess a sense of urgency, flexibility, and assertiveness.

    ·        Ability to multi-task, plan/prioritize and execute in a timely manner.

    Physical requirements:  Sedentary - Involves lifting articles weighing no more than 10 pounds at a time or occasionally lifting or carrying articles such as docket files, ledgers, or small tools; and despite involving sitting on a regular basis, may require walking or standing on an occasional basis.
