    Position Summary

    We are looking for an analytical, proactive & precise Project Accountant to assist Project Managers with their daily accounting processes & financial reporting. On a day-to-day basis you are preparing client billings, managing subcontractor payments, verifying & entering budgets, reconciling & forecasting costs, & generally ensuring the financials of their project portfolio are represented accurately. You’ll work closely with Project Managers to identify trends, risks & opportunities that impact future financial position. This is a highly visible fast-paced position that interacts with most departments within the company.

    Location: Cypress, CA 90630

    Key Responsibilities

    Assist with Project financials including initial project setup, entering initial budgets, contract change orders, setting up cost codes, journal entries and budget revisions.Collaborate with Project Managers to fulfill their monthly & quarterly Job Cost forecasting & reporting requirements. May require local travel to jobsite(s). Attend quarterly financial review meetings.Provide managers with analysis of project variances and key metrics/trends.Develop relationships with subcontractors & be diligent in maintaining their records so that timely payments can be made.Diligently track billing due dates, maintain the schedule of values and submit client billings. Prepare billing package including releases, labor and material backup and vendor invoices if required. Enter billings into accounting software.Assist payroll with cost coding issues on timecards.Monitor and analyze project cash flow and financials.Persistently track and purse project cash collections.Maintain and file project-related records: subcontract & vendor prelims, minority & other project requirements.Other duties as needed.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.Minimum 1+ year of relevant external experience in construction project / job cost accounting.Familiarity with AIA billings & lien releases preferred.Must be able to prioritize tasks & have strong communication skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot table knowledge.

    Physical Requirements

    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.Must have sufficient visual acuity to read printed and digital documents.Able to travel as needed.

    Compensation

    $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

    Position Summary

    As the Lead Help Desk Technician, you will provide essential support to our employees, ensuring smooth operation of our IT systems and hardware. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, managing software installations, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

    Location: This position will be based onsite at our company headquarters in Cypress, CA 90630.


    Key Responsibilities

    Provide technical support for Windows operating systems.Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software issues.Support and manage Office 365 applications and services.Assist with Autodesk product installations and troubleshooting.Utilize power tools, such as drills, to mount TVs and accessories as needed.Document and track issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.Assist in setting up and configuring new computer systems and workstations.Perform routine maintenance and updates on all company hardware and software.Setup of workstations in corporate and remote locations, including configuration of hardware and software for use on network.Conduct training of company personnel in the proper use of hardware and softwareTroubleshoot and maintain hardware and software on a preventative as well as a corrective basis.Maintain an accurate database of all IT assets, including hardware, contracts, software licenses, and maintenance, in coordination with the Service Desk Manager & IT Director.Training users on new software and hardware.Providing tips and best practices for efficient system use.Maintaining records of issues and resolutions.Documenting technical processes and procedures.Creating and updating user manuals and guides.Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, following up with users to ensure issues are fully resolved.

    Qualifications

    Required

    CompTIA A+ certification. 5+ years of experiences in Helpdesk for Information Technology.1+ year experience delegating or assigning work to a team strongly preferred.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Willing to travel or commute to different offices as needed.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proven experience with Windows operating systems and basic troubleshooting.Experience in Microsoft Active Director (AD).Proficiency in Office 365 applications.Ability to use power tools, such as drills, for mounting equipment.


    Preferred

    Microsoft Certified Professional, or other CompTIA certificates.Experience with Autodesk products.Experience in the construction industry, or similar fast-paced industries.

    Position Summary

    The Project Manager (PM) within our Advanced Technologies division is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating the project to complete the work safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. Our Project Managers provide leadership to the project team and directs the success of the overall project from initial estimating through completion while ensuring adherence to company procedures. This position focuses on various mechanical piping projects with varying scopes of work, including: plumbing, HVAC, and process piping.

    Location: Boulder, CO, which anticipated travel to project sites in and around the greater metropolitan area.

    Key Responsibilities

    Meet with Executive Management, Estimating, Field Operations and key stakeholders to define the scope of work and create a project execution plan, ensuring the safety of all staff.Ensure safety program is followed and safety culture is maximized, observing teams for safety deficiencies and suggest safety priorities.Set up pre-planning meetings and establish project budget.Set up a workable schedule for job cost control, labor, material and equipment.Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.Review project with the Executive Management Team incrementally throughout the project from inception to completion.Meet weekly with field staff.Work with Purchasing on all equipment and material buyouts.Manage all financial aspects of the contract; prepare a cost-to-complete report quarterly.Prepare monthly billings for submission to General Contractor or Owner.Prepare and review monthly subcontractor billing.Represent Murray Company in project meetings.Assist in labor negotiations/strategy.Document pending problems and advise management.In absence of Project Engineer, Project Manager will assume all Project Engineer responsibilities.Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate management.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or another relevant focus is desired or at a minimum strong experience and understanding of Industrial construction/engineering design concepts.Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience working on diverse commercial and/or industrial piping construction projects; industry experience experience in biopharmaceutical plants major plus.Experience project managing high-purity process piping, tool installation, and/or cleanroom scopes strongly preferred.Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance through understanding of corporate practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.

    Position Overview

    The Staff Accountant supports the company's financial operations by ensuring the accuracy of the chart of accounts, general ledger transactions, and financial reporting. This position is responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, supporting month-end close processes, and providing financial insights to management and operational teams to drive informed business decisions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Reconcile bank accounts & credit cards monthly.Analysis and reconciliation of BS and IS accounts.Prepare and maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules.Create and input general journal entries.Review the annual corporate tax return prepared by outside CPA firm.Prepare schedules for specific expenditures; i.e., insurance, payroll, interest, etc.Prepare audit schedules for outside CPAs, insurance companies, and banks.Record pre-paid assets/accrued liabilities and book amortization/expense monthly.Reclass notes payable between long-term and short-term based on amortization schedules.Analyze & record investment activity monthly.Assist the CFO and Controller in special projects.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.5+ years of related accounting experience. Advanced knowledge of Excel.Previous accounting processing software or ERP experience a plus.

    Position Summary

    The Mechanical Estimator for our Northern California division will provide and/or coordinate all estimating services necessary to procure HVAC Pipe and Sheet Metal projects.     The Project Engineer (PE) position at Murray Company is a key entry point into construction project management, and play a critical role in the success of each project.     Position Summary

    The Safety Manager will plan, implement and supervise project safety in accordance with Federal, State, and local Health and Safety regulations, and Environment (HSE) regulations, site safety and corporate policies. This is a job-site critical position ensuring the health and safety of all employees on the job site. The successful candidate must be CHST certified, be responsive to questions/concerns, excellent communication with all levels and strong problem-solving skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    Attend jobsite Pre task meetings and meet jobsite supervision independently to identify critical work activities requiring work plans and assist with the development of the work plans prior commencement of work activities. Refer to work plan program. (Fall protection, excavation, confined space entry, crane pick plans are some of the more common plans).Oversee critical work plan activities to ensure we are following the approved work plan.Contact General Contractors/ owner’s site safety personnel to ensure our operations are to their satisfaction walk site with safety if available follow up on items that need closure. Ensure work is not delayed due to safety issues.Perform jobsite inspections, review safety related paperwork, and ensure the scope of the pre task plan matches the scope of the daily work and current operations to verify jobsite compliance. Interview employees to see if they are adequately trained and have the necessary tools and PPE required for the tasks being performed, verify all equipment inspections are done by employees using equipment.Ensure field operations are in compliance with Current OSHA regulations, Murray Company Policies and Owners or General Contractor’s rules as specified by contract.Assist with training as needed for the projects specifically to ensure all employees on site have the required training needed discuss upcoming training needs with the project team and assist in scheduling classes.Train crew members in personal fall arrest/ restraint systems, scissors lift operations, powered industrial truck operation, personal protective equipment, power tool safety, confined space entry, and any other safety training required by corporate policy. Conduct daily jobsite safety and Pre task audits required by contract.Assist in updating the certification Training Data Base to ensure all training classes are updated and records are available for employees onsite.Inspect all rigging while on the jobsite to ensure all is safe for use.Assist with accident and incident, near miss investigation for the jobsites and develop safety alerts as a result thereof. Ensure there is a root cause analysis performed and develop mitigation methods when necessary. Foremen and superintendents are to write reports but assistance may be needed when investigating and finding the route cause. Provide appropriate documentation to the Corporate Safety Department and GC once approved.Accompany any injured worker throughout any medical treatment that may be necessary to ensure the employee gets proper care and that the injury/care is properly managed.Ensure appropriate management of work-related injuries and proper care for injured employees.Develop and implement procedures to eliminate hazards and situations as those discovered through lessons learned and investigations from prior incidents.Recommend corrective actions and/or disciplinary procedures for violations of HSE rules, procedures.Review and record all required job site safety documentation created by foreman to ensure compliance corporate policy.
