  • Business Analyst III - Fuels  

    - El Dorado

    Location: El Dorado, Arkansas General Description Of Position The Technology Services Business Analyst (Fuels) will work with key stakeholders to identify and understand their requirements through interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, task reviews and workflow analysis. This position will evaluate findings from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate gathered information into meaningful, understandable reports and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Essential Duties And Responsibilities â Collaborate with business users to understand their challenges and be able to solve those challenges by leveraging business systems and technology. â Gather requirements from multiple sources and transform into a single set of documented needs. Review and revise requirements as needed. â Work closely with software developers, project managers, and systems testers to translate business requirements into successful technical deliverables. â Identify business processes, roles within those processes, and develop workflow diagrams using Microsoft Visio. â Develop business requirements documents and collaborate with Quality Assurance to develop traceability documents, test cases and test scripts. â Produce, maintain, and interpret workflow diagrams. â Develop functional and non-functional requirements specifications according to standard templates. â Collaborate with internal and third-party developers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to establish technical or functional vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. â Implement and enhance mission critical systems to support business transformation. â Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to ensure transactional information flows flawlessly into their various systems. â Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.   • Assoc Tax Accountant

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION Tax Accountant will analyze tax reporting requirements and data from retail systems, ledgers, invoicing systems, and stock systems to determine tax liability for federal, state, and local taxing authorities. This position will also review and analyze purchases, sales and inventory accounting data and assist in other tax areas as needed. The Tax Accountant also ensures compliance with tax laws by preparing and reviewing returns, which includes reconciling accounts, participating in audits, conducting tax research and monitoring law changes and the impacts on the business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Position will start as primarily Sales, Use, & Gross Receipts Taxes with future roles expanding to Property Tax and Motor Fuel Tax. 1. Prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner for tax compliance. 2. Prepare monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts related to monthly accruals and monthly and annual tax filings. 3. Update weekly cash forecast information. 4. Analyze and compile transactional and financial data from multiple sources. 5. Analyze and process assessment notices, tax bills and valuation changes. 6. Submit accurate data to the required taxing and reporting jurisdictions in a timely manner. 7. Resolve and/or explain any tax return related issues by working with customers, suppliers, internal clients, advisory personnel, and taxing authorities. 8. Maintain awareness and understanding of tax law changes by researching state and local tax codes and monitoring legislative changes, which leads to implementing changes to tax accounting tools such as financial and back-office programs. 9. Ensure and maintain compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and document changes as needed. 10. Assist with data gathering and analysis for audit purposes. 11. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.
