Reports To: Director of Nursing / Nurse Manager
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care and rehabilitation setting. The RN is responsible for assessment, care planning, medication administration, supervision of nursing staff, and coordination of resident care to promote optimal health outcomes.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssess resident condition and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Monitor resident status and respond to changes in condition
Supervise and support LPNs and CNAs
Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other skilled nursing procedures
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
Participate in admissions, discharges, and care conferences
Educate residents and families on care plans and treatments
Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control, and regulatory requirements
Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
QualificationsCurrent RN license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
LTC or rehab experience preferred (new grads may be considered)
Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age at time of hire.
Must hold unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse.
One year of acute care or two years of clinical nursing experience.
Must be CPR certified, or able to complete training.
Must be able to complete full orientation at time of hire.
Must be able to fulfill physical requirements of position including ability to lift and carry 20 lbs., remain alert while on duty, and work 16-hour shifts on occasion.
